idiot taxi driver 5159!

just now was on my way home... travelling along PIE towards jurong @ somewhere near bedok... my speed was around 90km+... was travelling in lane 1... then saw this taxi driver signal right and turn into lane 2 from lane 3... then he off the signal... i saw him maintain in lane 2... then was about to over take him... reaching almost half of his car... then suddenly he wanna turn into my lane w/o switching on his right signal as if there's no car beside him! then i have to press the brake damn hard until my tire skid and can smell the burning of my tire... then i was like, WTF! CANT HE SEE ME? DONT HE CHECK BLIND SPOT? WTF! then he still cut into my lane and didnt even say sorry or something... and still can see him talking to his customer inside... WTF sia! wat a idiot taxi driver... zzz

u mean he wanted to turn to ur lane when u was just next to him?Then u brake and was behind u right?Then u could just have flash ur highbeam to show ur anger....

If I was that close up with him, I will just horn without braking. Chances is he will move back. If not, make sure you don't kanna his rear, then he confirm in the wrong.
Only high beam those who cut my lane without signal, but still far. Of course if you will most likely hit his rear, then you should consider slowing down to let him filter.

Anyway, do drive as if all other drivers are idiots. Even if they cross the lane-divider by a bit without signal, you must also high beam or horn if close. Cause you never know what the other driver is thinking. Lastly, never assume right of way. This might sound contradictory to my above action, but it beats jamming brakes. -

I also encounter similar incident on way back just now. Idiot SMRT taxi cut into my lane and cause me to jam brake hard. It got stuck in a straight&right turning lane but want to go straight, so just cut into the left lane even though there are on-coming vehicles. So dangerous. If I bang him, I wrong. If I emergency stop vehicle behind me may bang me. Either way I suay.
So angry at that time I remember the taxi no. It's SHB ****Y. Maybe we should start posting taxi no. on website and blacklist them.

ytd i also kena one f up taaxi driver. we in filter lane going on to main road
den i wanna one time cut 2 lane to lane 2, so i signal right before moving out from filter lane. he was behind me and he turned on his high beam and tried to cut into lane 2 when i was halfway thru! so i dulan go straight into lane 2 and slow den den his high beam still on and den he signal right wanna go lane 3 den i go lane 3 also and slow down right in front of him
nowadays taxi driver... tsk tsk.... cabbie companies shd really do something -

and i agree if you see vehicle just cross line abit or even like goign to cross i will horn le.... flash headlight for me i dun think very effective cos pple flash light at me i also never notice one(hehe dunno why lah maybe cos i only notice the front and side when i drive unless i am turning/change lane) -
I never make assumptions about Taxi drivers on the road. I regard all Taxi drivers as reckless and idiots.
Even when they signal, the signal is not TRUE. -
