CAR FC IS HIGH?HOW?

Hi Everyone,My car has clock 7km/l on the first month when i got the car.And now,the second month,it's 9km/l,after fixing on a TYPE R AIR CHARGER.I'm driving a brand new nissan sunny 1.6 EX,but i heard from many drivers who got their car after two months,their's is around 10km/l to 11.
I don't rev high and don't drive very fast now either,Went to gave a through check on my car,if there's any leakage of petrol,but everything is alright.
Now,i'm currently using mineral oil,mileage around 3k+ reaching 4000.Any one knows where exactly might have get wrong on my car that lead it to such a high FC? -
Check tyre pressure, remove excess unnecessary weight from the boot, don't turn on the air conditioner, don't wind down your windows, seal all visible gaps in front of car to streamline car and reduce unnecessary drag.

Sitting inside car, with engine on and idling, also contributes to overall FC.
Do you do a lot of waiting for people daily?
Do you rev your engine, or drive with high rev? -
i also have the same prob, but mine is a little better at 9km/lit. Wonder can go for maintenace and ask the mechanics why anot

Why not changing Full-syn? Some car will experience improvement on the FC side.

When i wait for people,i don't have guts to on the engine and enjoy the aircon at all,cos i am really afraid of the killer,which is my high FC. -

LCL.Not everyone is that rich like u.I have only started working not long.
But how suay,that i got this car with so many problems.But i love sunny moreover,since young. -

anywae, try to avoid tis kind of situations, not good for your wallet and engine

Winding up the windows reduces the drag coefficient, so your car won't find it harder to move faster at the same pace you're stepping on the gas. i am driving the new rio. Calculation previously was logically flawed. New calculation show it to be 12km/lit. Not too bad, but not good also. I think average is about 15km/lit for bros out there right?Originally posted by scotts07:What car r u driving anyway?Sunny is well-known of high FC.
I consider myself to be conservative driver, so there is no heavy footing and hard acc so and so on. -
Have patience, your car has not "run in" yet. My Sunny FL(M) is coming to 2 years old and I would like to share with you the performance of my car so far:
I get an average FC of 14-15km/l. 70% highway 30% urban driving. Aircon low usuage and speed try to keep 80- 90km/hr.Petrol using Shell 95ron. Engine oil Castrol RS.
I have done the following so far:
1) Install Splitfire spark plug.
2) Gounding. (took the combo package with item 1 @ $156)
After a few months,I get a simple Cold Air intake done.
After doing item 1) n 2), FC and performance reach what I have now. I personnaly think gounding is good for older car only.
As for the CAI, I realise it doesn't help much when I keep to 80km/hr. But when I try to go faster @ 90km+, it doesn't have high impact on my FC.
Everything else is original stock. Even my wheels are original steel rim type.

Auto cars and manual cars of the same model have been know to clock a difference of about 2km/L. 1 more time about manual cars. As time goes on, the driver will start to feel the car and is able to switch gear at its optimal rpm, be it for FC or for power, upslope or downslope. same situation as you men. Last time i send to TC to check n check but all they could do was to tune it. Nothing much men. But just leave it. I need not be rich to say what I said.
It is not suay. It is just your personality and how you drive your vehicle. The only way to learn is to read about cars and hang out in forums for your make of cars. Most of the questions u raised here are so many and it looks like u are compiling a FAQs of sorts.
