hi all! need help!
i was being fine for parking in season parking place without possession of a valid season parking ticket. but i did park at the white color lot not the red color one...
but.. my cupon did exceed the time. so actually which fine is more serious and how can i go about appealing it??
any guys out there with advice??

but how you going to prove you didnt park at the season parking lot?

hmm. the fine paper gt write down the lot number. thus i am wondering if they have the record that lot number is a white lot...

Did you park overnight?
You have to check the hourly coupon signage at carpark entrance.Some carpark they only put 50cts per half hour or $1 per hour from 7.00am to 10.30pm but without the $2 night parking,that means after 10.30pm to following day 7am,the whole carpark is only reserved for season ticket holder even if the lots are painted in white colour. -

That is somewhat incorrect. The carpark must have the "SEASON PARKING WHOLE DAY" sign to make it season parking after coupon parking hours are over. If there is no sign, the carpark is FREE after coupon parking hours.Originally posted by Yan Nan Tian:Did you park overnight?

Like Newton Circus hawker centre carpark and the carpark near Al Ameen (bt timah) prata place. Free after 10pm, as confirmed by a mail by URA when I enquired with them.
Season parking lot fines are $50... and normal lots without coupon is $30... normal lots with expired coupon is $6 for 1st 30 mins passed, $10 for 1st hour and $20 after tat.
If ya parked in a "SEASON PARKING WHOLE DAY" carpark after coupon hours are over (yes, the lots are white), you will still be fined $50. Can always try to appeal that its late and you didn't see the sign, and u really did put a coupon, at least try to appeal to bring the fine down to $20 if not waived. -

For his case,most probably he is talknig abt HDB carpark and not URA.URA carpark usually they will have a "free night parking" sign if no coupon is required for night parking. -

Tell them you are not aware of this issue.. and that you are visiting a fren.. or eating nearby or something.. blah blah..

dont worry. HDB or URA has pre printed stacks of "appeal" forms in their reception desks.. ha.. they also know these will happen
