hey guys m a 1st timer here. need some help in buying 2nd hand cars.bt juz any tips to share on bbuying 2nd hand veh ?

Buy a 10year COE car shd be around 20k to 25k tops the set aside 2k for the wear n tear parts,wat u need is to know that u got a good engine n gearbox
the rest can be done up with that 2k buget.
and never belive wat the used car dealers say unless they noe wat they talking abt.
If not just buy a new car to save head damage. -

1) cars may be faulty.. People sell them for a reason
2) High depreciation rate for some
3) Maintainence level and cost
Best to consider a new one. -
with the current market, for >3 yr old car, try offering at paper value. You might just be lucky.

i was wondering if let say the car's engine is dead after i drive for abt 2 yrs or so , m i able to haul the old engine n change to a new 1 ?

car prices gonna be alot cheaper for the next 6 months.. its wiser to consider a new car... like someone mentioned earlier on, you'll never know whats faulty under the hood of the 2nd hand car.. and if u're really unlucky, the maintenance costs may add up (to the cost of the car) near to the current price of a new car!! so whats the point?
