jamming mobile speed laser gun technology

  i saw on tv recently on fifth gear, there is this techonology that can jam the mobile speed cam one.
  it works like when detected the laser from the speed cam, it will return another laser beam back to jam the speed cam.
  wow. singapore where can put this ar? heh heh heh.

  So far i do not see LTA putting warning against this. but possession of it is against IDA rules.
  
  Anyway, such technologies existed for quite some time in US. but not all are 100% effective.
  
  because, there are different laser frequencies, so you might be using the wrong one to jam which results in ineffectiveness.
  
  In US, you use such things, you mess up police's laser gun, police got no evidence against you speeding and thus you are "scot free". (though some states have laws against possesion of such equipment)
  
  In singapore, you use such things, you mess up their laser gun... you think you get away scot free?

  I also heard that this is a double edge sword... apparently the police will also know where the jamming device comes from. Just like in Malaysia, my fren there will switch off his radar detector when the beeping is fast ie speed trap coming soon.
