Question on Parking

Will I get a ticket if I park by the side of a road that doesn't have any line (i.e. no yellow or white line or any kind), not blocking traffic for more than 2 hrs?
There's a multistorey carpark nearby but then I don't wanna use parking coupons.
Any advice? -
no lines at the side of the road, but what you should look now is the line at the middle of the road.

The road i'm referring to is a 2-way road. If you are referring to a single white line partitioning the traffic, then yes, there is one. The place that I wanna park my car would allow traffic to go through still and this road is only a small but throughfare road.

No. Parking is only allowed at areas that are designated for parking, eg Carpark. Unless it is a private property you are talking about.

so a reminder, just because you see not double yellow line, doesn't mean u can park. the line in the centre matters too. -

i didn't say in the thread starter's situation he could park, if you would notice i was replying the post that said that only designated parking spots allows parking. -
basically....2 way street you can't park....line or no line....one way...can park if no yellow line...

Geez... there's lots of cars parking along 2 sides of the road just outside ACJC these few days in the evening, including today, without coupons (7pm to 9:30pm). I am tempted to join them.
If the law is what you say, I better be a good girl and park in the multistorey carpark.

its not true only pte property allows parking by the road..if you notice some estate does haf a single white line on certain areas such as few meters before a turning or slopes..these are the restricted places within a pte estate
its also not true all 2 way roads cannot park cars regardless of lines..take pte estates for example..all 2 ways but as long as its not a main..usually there's no white line and that's when u can park
one grey area is..the theory books we used to study..dun think they mention if no lines but got one long stretch of kerb at the centre divider den how?? i believe, it follows the rule of a single white line
fyi, dun think its pte estate jus anyhow park nobody will summon u..becoz ppl will complain and the police will take the matter to hands and ask u remove ur car or issue a summon -

By right so long as got white line diving the two way roda, better obey gov.
White dotted one is ok so long u dun obstruct traffic.

hmm... how about if there is a slight grassy area next to the road and u go offroad and park there and not on the road is that ok?
