What are those meters for?

Hi all,
Think many of you should have seen some of those small, circular neon meters in front of the driver ( above dashboard, or somewhere there). Quite common for subarus, but i've seen some in Altis and Sunny too.
It normally comes in 3s, in a set. Looks quite cool, especially at nite. Anyone can tell where wat's it for, and where to get it installed??

One is a thermometer that shows the outside temperature, another one is a hygrometer, and the last one is a clock.

really depends what the owner wants to put...
can be anything...
turbo gauge
additional tachometer
some hard core will put like litres of fuel left...
some estimated distance remaining on presence fuel level.. -
most popular set is vacuum, volt and water temp for NA cars, and boost, oil temp and water temp for turbo cars...
useful for monitoring parameters when you 'hard run' the car so u don't blow anything off.
or if u lazy to setup the sensor wiring can just put clocks for different countries or thermometer.. -

the popular and expensive brand is the Defi...
but i do like tha Blitz and Mugen one but also very expensive.......
there r also some cheap ones.....

These round little gauges are a waste of money, and dashboard space. To me, they're basically "show-off" gauges. Serves no purpose whatsoever, unless, your ride is a true sportscar like the WRX STi, EVO, a Porche, or a Ferrari.
Otherwise, you might as well remove the dial-plate inside, seal it up and convert it into a little aquarium to keep little SeaMonkeys in your car. -
i think if there;s a digital gauge showing how many litres of fuel left will be good . Haha

Sunnygal,all these gauges are just to make ur car look more sporty.But i think all these are just a waste of money,i cost a lot,and u can save up for a buffet dinner

not everyone who have it wanted to showoff....
i just want my ride to look cool n nice...
my original water temp is showing less then half when i always tot it is normal
but when i install the gauges,the water temp is showing more than 100degrees celsius....
and i think oil temp n oil press is quite useful for my ride too... -
triple meters comes standard with STi.
I think its cool. Basically, the neon is for show. What is not is what is reflected inside. I agree that oil, intercooler temperature gauges are really useful.
Or, you can install 3 clocks showing you the times of different countries. Now that would really be for show. -

hmm...by looking at the vaccum gauge,if the neeble goes up too high,then u will release the throttle a bit,like this u will save fuel lor,

Its not Defi. Its STI Original Meters. Comes with the car. Some STI may not have bcause owner do not 1 it.
