will i win this case?

one morning,was riding my bike upon reaching a MERGING LANE a car suddenly cut infront of my lane from the left without signalling.
he cut juz less then a meter fm my bike,i e-brake but distance too near and thus i hit onto its bumper and skidded.ambulance was call,discharge the same day with minor injury.
there was witness but i doesnt know whether he saw the whole incident,i mean did not know whether he saw the car cutting juz right in front of me.
i got the right of way,but far as concern as long you hit behind,you lose.
any advise?thanks

u might have high chances of losing.Cos in singapore,as long as u knock someone,u're e one in e wrong.

Defensive driving, bro, defensive driving. Since it is a merging lane, all the more you should have expected the car to cut in. As long as he can squeeze in right in front of you, you have already lose your "right of way".
Secondly, that "right of way" mentality isn't supposed to be the recommended mentality as we seek to create a more friendly driving environment in Singapore. -

i not in the wrong.....suffer injury oready and yet i at fault.
take it as a lesson anyway and lucky for me that there is no car coming behind me or the result will be like in a bowling lane-STRIKE!

Have you made a police report and file claims on the owner of the car?? What did he says?
IF you haven't done anything then you don't have any case to win in the first place.
Yes theoritically you got the right of way but he can argue that you were behind him, thus resulted in the accident. -

i.o. say need at least a mth or more then i will know the results.
now all i can do is wait and wait,
start saving money in case i lose then has to pay damages to my own bike.

my advise to u and those motorcylists out there,just wana say: If u really have no money,get public transport.Don't thought that motorcycle can bring u to place B faster than cars or watsoever.The fact i wanna say is:Motorcycle only has 2 wheels,once being knock,u sure fall.The fall consequences will definetly result in a minor injury or serious one. Singapore roads very anti-motorcycles la... Riding Bike = Sure kana bullied one..
Just last week I saw an accident along the ecp.. 1 bike kana sandwiched from the front and back... saw a bloody makeshift cover over the biker and knew it was gone case for him.. the other two drivers suffered bruises

It's a merging lane you say, so both have got right of way. But because you hit him on the back, the tables are turned on you mate. -
lets put it in a better way, majority of the riders out there dunno how to maintain their lane discipline. in school they taught u never go between two cars, during test tis thing immediate failure. Its ur word against the driver's. If u can get an independent witness (3rd party), then it would help tremendously.

anyway i think unless got third party help yiou if not no chance -
i gave the i.o. a witness number,then i call the witness a few days ago but he say no one call him concerning this case.
look like the i.o. is going to charge both of us.
btw lastest news,the driver has agree to pay for my repair.
he say "as long alive and no serious injury,money is not much a problem".
so afterall,good man do exisit,not "you hit my car,i don care.you pay you pay! -
Yea. If want lawsuit will drag and drag also ma. Besides, since he drives a car, maybe he is well off enough.
It can also mean that his conscience prick him, so maybe it's good la. He realise that he make the mistake, and so long as both of you settle OOC, no problem. All he needs is just change the bumper.
Heck, he may even get a full bodykit while he's at it.

Car drivers also la. Don't think just cuz you drive a 70, 80k machine then very big F**k, the road don't belong to car drivers only, even the motorcyclists have a right. I always make it a point to look out for motorcycylists, even on expressway. Because motorcyclists got family. He/she may be someone's husband, wife, father, mother, child, etcs. -

for info,the cost of repair to my bike nearly double the amount he need to fix his bumper and yet he still agree to pay and not "you go claim insurance lo".
finally case close for the time being,learn another lesson on the road.

i think the car driver must have thought its his fault plus guilty so decided to pay.
