Need your guys opinion

  i hope you guys can help me
  
  right now, i'm torn between hyundai getz, kia cerato & proton gen-2. as these are the cars that i can afford right now. i cant settle for below 1.6 due to my family size. i need tha car for everyday journey that can reach about 100 km per day. the car must be spacious interior. reliable for the next 5 years or so.
  
  if we want to but a car, can we ask for more accessories?

  I bought Gatz in July. very good. performance wise also ok. no problem so far. I vote for Gatz.

  best you goto the respective car club, jio another feller or more to get group buy. tat way, ur chances r better.

  if u got big family i got no idea why e Getz is in ur list.. are u kidding us or something..?? try e VIOS instead if u tight on bidget

  if you can spend slightly more... can try on the hybrid,
  
  if you drive so much everyday, you can soon recover the higher costs of the vehicle because their fuel economy is almost 3 times better. meaning you spend 1/3 on fuel.
  
  but drive super safely, because accidents to the hybrid costs a bomb.

  That looks like a 50% increase in his budget. Since the intro of the "Peanut", people's preception of cash have changed.
  
  Anyway, how come lancer wasn't in the option list? It sounded like the most reputable 1.6CC which could yield a slightly better FC than those in the list now. Of course, for FC, always go for the Manual transmission.

  tat was what i tot too till i read some comments from malaysia forum regarding gen2 is not so favourable

  hybrid?
  forget it........it will cost a bomb to repair...even if i drive safely, theres no guarentee other driver will not bang into me;p
  
  by the way....a friend call me just now to inform me that he got nissan sunny 1.6 for $48k....hmmmm might try tan chong motor this weekend;p

  Updated price for Vios is 49988 for manual. But because the cabin a little small, that is why I didn't recommend it. Else it is the best car to go for.

  Estimation of your milage in 10 years: 313,000km (assume you travel 50% lesser for weekends)
  If FC = 15km/L (Vios), Fuel used: 20,867L
  If FC = 11km/L (Sunny), Fuel used: 28,455L
  Using discount fuel price now of S$1.6/L
  15km/L vs 11km/L in 10 years: S$33,387 vs S$45,528.
  Difference: S$12,141
  FC is very important since you are driving so much.

  why not lancer manual? i think together with vios, they're the most value-for-money ones in the market now...

  Well, if you want the space, I guess Getz is the choice. Now that COE price drop, a lot of cars become more affordable.
  
  I drive the Lancer myself.. FC theoretically can hit 12-14? But usually I hit 10. Heavy right foot =D
  
  Vios is a really good car.. My good friend has one and I tried it before.. Smooth, reliable engine, light car.. good on FC, unstingy interior and boot space.
