PARF/COE rebate, is it cashable?

  I am just asking, if my current car has a PARF/COE rebate after i de-reg it.
  
  the money i get from it can only be used to buy a new car or i can cash it out?
  
  i heard i cannot cash it out.

  it is non-cashable....
  it comes in a form of voucher and u use it to buy ur new car..

  can sell it to the second hand car dealer but expect them to take a cut

  No.. you cannot cash out. Heard mkt rate for dealers to cut is 6%. You probably can get a 5%. Call more to get your best rate.

  hmmm... so we can use the voucher only to buy new cars? wat if we interested to get a 2nd hand car? can the voucher bi used?if not, we need to encash it buy sellin the VOUCHER at a loss to dealers? any comments?
