My view is:
Cat A sure go up. Now already $11,400 with 4091/2808 bids
Cat B may stay or even go down. Now at $1 with 765/1267 bids
Cat E now $1 with 724/1441 bids. Those desparate may bid Cat E to secure their cars, so don't know will up or down... -
COE will eventually increase to a steady state until LTA make adjustments to their quota for the next half of the year
but the qns is wad is this ''stable value''...i also dunno

Its become a bloody casino....with anyone's guess as good as the person next to him.
If I had to make a guess, I think there will be a technical rebound this time, with Cats A, B and E going up a bit. After all, the newspaper did report that some car agents did have a substantial increase in bookings for the past 2 weeks...which means car dealers would be more kiasu to chase prices up ('cos they wanna sell their cars).

As at now (Wed, 10:39 am), the Cat A price (now $12,200) has already exceeded the last round's. -
A Car (1600cc & below) $12,990
Quota: 2,808 Bids: 4,759
B Car (Above 1600 cc) $10,601
Quota: 1,267 Bids: 1,578
E Open currently still at $1
Quota: 1,441 Bids: 1,126
So.. who says... COE will go down this time round? Cat A already up more than $999 as of now -

if u need a car nows the time to buy. u have till feb06. After elections ( likely end of this yr ) u can bet lta will reduce coe quota for apr-oct 06. and coe will zoom up.
