Tyres are reinforced internally, for toughness.....and this reinforcement maintains the tyre shape when inflated (or else it'll bloat up round round like a balloon).
So if there is a lump, it probably means that the reinforcement at that point has weakend/broken down. This is not the first time I've seen lumps in tyres (I've experienced it before and so have my friends).
Yes, its very dangerous to drive fast with such a tyre condition. Luck is on your side, however.....because its the rear tyre thats affected. This means that if you're not going at high speeds (I recommend 50 km/hr max.....yeah, yeah, I know its crazy and excruciating, but its only a few minutes of your life), a burst will do nothing much....just maybe slightly out of control.
To be safer, a better way is just change the broken tyre to your spare....then carry the broken one in your booth for inspection by the manufacturer.
However, you must know that there are no warranties of this sort for tyres (they come under wear-and-tear parts).....so even if the manufacturer inspects it, they'll probably ask you to buy a new "set".
To balance off, we always have change two tyres at the same time (a "set" ), never just one (unless all the other tyres are still really new). Usually, they'll put the new ones in front. The only thing is that you'll have to buy some tyre polish to make them all look the same colour (if you're fussy about it).

You will have to change 2 at least.. For safety reasons. The best two tyres will be keep and use with the 2 new tyres.
however changing 4 will be the safest choice.
Do you have a spare tyre?? You can use it to drive to Yew huat. Alternatively remove the damage tyre and take a cab down. But the former will be a better choice.

yes, it may explode. try reduce the air pressure 1st and drive slowly.
a 15" tyre will set u back by abt $90. ST-115 cost u about $85 at yap bros (though a lot of pple will not recommend them but tat's abt the cheapest for a pair of decent tyre) Pilot preceda abt $100 somewhere in toa payoh.
i say replace both front tyres but move the rear ones to the front to wear them off. -

Hmm, since it's only your LEFT REAR tire, why not replace your rear tire with your spare one?
The last time I cracked my AspecDB it cost me 125 at Balastier

Suggest you change to Potenzas. CAS has some very good prices, do check them out.
Cost of a 15 inch tyre is very minimal with regards to the cost of a car and your safety. Somemore you have already done 25,000km, not too bad liao. I suspect you have hit or scrapped a kerb HARD before. Tyres do not develop buldges by themselves.
My previous set of Yokohama Aspects, shredded them in less than a year. My continentals ($230 a piece) also died in just one year. Now I am on Potenzas G3s. Very good tyres for the money. Well 15 inch...wan cheap and good all weather tyres, BF Goodrich from Poh Heng lah... served me well so far after my Potenza skidded and made turn a few round on the KJE
BF Goodrich...$70 per piece nia... go POh Heng ask Justin for the cheapest BFG tyres...
But u got budget can go buy more branded and better ones lah.... -
Change two and shift the two new tyres to the front if your car is a front wheel drive.

if u got the $$, go for semi slick..or those wid stiff sidewalls...
tyre is the only thing that keep u on rd, try not to save on that.
the wider the better..
