need help in reverse parking !!!

  hi guys, i have just pass my tp test recently .. .. now the big problem is. .... the stupid vertical parking that i learn in the circuit is totally useless .... i tried reverse parking like hell and nothing is working ...hope that u guys can give me some tips on reverse parking ... thanks

  Before you reverse into the lot, you got to position your car in an angle, roughly 45 degrees from the lot. That will make it easier to reverse park.

  vertical? the one not parrallel one?
  
  very easy one trick is not to do 90 degrees
  
  instead of stop at right angle then reverse in slant the car at like 45 degrees then go into the lot it saves time, is easy and avoids pple stealing your lot

  I also say go straight in is the way. But when I first got my license, I always do the reverse park to show off.

  reverse good for easy exit esp in crowded carparks where sometiems no space for maneovering of butts when you go out

  the method taught in schools are bulls**t! How to do vert using 90deg? And who in this world are doing vert at 90deg? What look at the poles, or imagine the poles from the four corners of the cars---can't even see some of the corners of the cars, how to imagine? Crazy. Even the method for parallel is also crap. MY method is to use the 2 side mirrors to adjust, make sure as long as you are not banging into the cars, you will be alright!

  Park army style lor... sure no prob one...
  means must get off car physically 2-3 times to check before reversing... hahaha...
  
  keep practising your parking lor... i think different car got different turning point one... different people turn the steering wheel at different speed also... so its hard to tell you how to park... so practise until you got your way lor...

  Both side mirrors are the most powerful tool for parking...
  
  45 degree positioning makes it easier for parking.
  
  Check the side mirrors to ensure the rear portion of ur vehicle esp the edges went into the lot. Once u are in...just straighten and do little adjustments to ensure ur vehicle is straight.
  
  I hate pple who like to "park on the line" ... kaoz...

  when i got my license i also only do reverse parking only... heck... up to now for almost 4 yrs i do bonnet in parking less than 10 times...

  yea... and bonnet in parking is discouraged in the sense that since, generally, most cars have their front bumper lower than the rear's, the front bumper will tend to brush the kerb. and even if you avoid going in too much, the car's arse will be sticking out too much of the lot, and that's what we all hate.

  u are rite about the parking style learnt in the circuit....sux big time! like you, i remembered asking for help here when i passed in january tis year. got lots of really helpful forumsters giving me very useful tips. i think the 45-degree tilting of the car before reversing works best. actually practice makes perfect. since i drive everyday, i can now park like a pro! one useful tip is, always look for 2 empty lots to do yr reverse parking. you can purchase those small rounded convex mirrors to stick on yr side mirrors. they help to view the markings on the ground as well as blindspots. good luck!

  erm for some reason i find forward parking harder then reverse parking and parallel parking..... i cant get it in right when im forward parking

  It isn't hard, but don't you feel that sense of satisfaction when you've successfully reverse parked and nobody taught you? (My instructor didn't teach me parking)

  haha try learning to drive a manual on your own haha took me 5 minutes of stalling before it would move hahaha

  I wouldn't have any idea how to. Even when taught, I stalled too many times.
