If your favour is manual, sunny manual FC is not so bad, average 13~14km/l,Originally posted by so_nice:guys..hope to hear your views about this 3 cars..the 2006 vios, city vtec & sunny super saloon..assuming all 3 are manual, which would be the better ride? personally i love the comfort of a sunny ss, the little kick vtec of the city when it opens but was also tempted by the price of a vios! however, the FC of the cars is also a deciding factor..
here are the prices:
2006 honda city vtec MT: S$61k
2006 toyota vios MT: S$52k
nissan sunny ss MT: S$55k
unless an 2nd hand ignis sports pops up before cny, otherwise my choice would be narrow down to these 3 models..give me some views? thanks guys!
cheers,
so_nice
yeah...i prefer manual bro. haf a colleague driving the new sunny manual, i personally find it quite comfortable..very strong air con. nice ride but too uncle for me i guess..was told by my colleague that 1 full tank gives him about 450-470kmOriginally posted by PLC guy:If your favour is manual, sunny manual FC is not so bad, average 13~14km/l,
honda city vtec abt 14lm/l,
heard vois is abt 15km/l, never tried before, but body weight only 990kg, dunt know how is the handling at high speed, i was driving honda City G2, body weight only 985kg, once speed hit 120km/h above, felt floating.
You are partial correct, sunny auto heavy FC isn't due to heavier car weight,Originally posted by findingnewidea:i am newbie, just seeking advice. seems here got lots of car gods...
i am actually interested in sunny. reason is simple, $53k for 1.6 auto and relatively more spacious are good.
talking about FC, yupe it is not that good. but it is due to heavier car weight. does it mean safer structure than vios? vios is lighter, can we say that it might less safe?
advice is welcome.
Lancer is good too. You can get more or less FC of 10. I wont recommend the Sunny.. But among the 3 I think vios would be the most practicalOriginally posted by PLC guy:You are partial correct, sunny auto heavy FC isn't due to heavier car weight,
actually Sunny auto 1100kg, altis 1115~1175kg, Lancer auto 1100kg, Mazda 1235kg, sunny auto transmission has some desgin defect, it's lower efficiency compare to others.
definitely sunny structure is robust than vois.

what? design defect? i assume you are saying design inefficiency. how can a defect go into product, it will compromise safety.Originally posted by PLC guy:You are partial correct, sunny auto heavy FC isn't due to heavier car weight,

Can anyone list out FC for Nissan 1.6 auto vs Vios 1.6?/1.5? auto?Originally posted by gentlerock:Hi,
The FC for similar Japanese cars nowadays is not that different. And I've always said, that there are many other things which will burn your bank account faster than FC ratings. If you don't travel very much, its really not practical scrutinising FC ratings.
Heavier doesn't necessarily mean safer. It depends on where the weight is - most of the time, its in the engine or gear.....or due to difference in body size. These do not necessarily have any influence on occupant safety.
...
50% city road 50% expresswayOriginally posted by findingnewidea:Can anyone list out FC for Nissan 1.6 auto vs Vios 1.6?/1.5? auto?
