depending on where the car is being tested.. the colder the climate.. higher the bhp.. warmer the climate, lower the bhp..Originally posted by iamstreet15:isit true tis car has 1001 horsepower ?
i believe it has some suspension technology like the enzo to accomodate such humps..Originally posted by gentlerock:Can't imagine this going over one of our road humps....its not gonna do 0-100 in 2.5 secs on our roads for sure.
I have never seen a Bugatti on the road before in my whole life. Even during my occasional visit to Beverly Hills and Palisades, all I could see were only the usual Murc, Bentleys, Ferraris, Phantoms etc. Even Enzos, I have already seen thrice, McLaren SLR twice, CGT thrice.Originally posted by TwinTurbo_Supra:i dont see the point in having this car leh.
so ex, so hard to maintain, so hard to drive, so ugly to look at.
i would rather spend the money to buy an enzo, a murcielago and an F430.
so? the veyron does not attract me unlike the 3 other cars mentioned.Originally posted by philia:I have never seen a Bugatti on the road before in my whole life. However I don't even had the chance to see the EB110 on road. If I could only see a Veyron.
It's about the exclusivity, power and rarity. The price tag is twice that of Enzo I think and this is so much more luxurious. But most importantly, this car would own Enzo from Great Wall of China to Berlin Wall.
I am just telling you the supposedly attractive factors of Veyron. Not exactly asking you to like this car. Why do you think this car is hard to drive? Have you tried to drive a stock Testarossa? or Countach? or Miura? You would know how hard those cars are to drive.Originally posted by TwinTurbo_Supra:so? the veyron does not attract me unlike the 3 other cars mentioned.

i saw on tv dunno where, they rebuild cars and said that 1 particular car has 1100 hp leh...Originally posted by philia:I am just telling you the supposedly attractive factors of Veyron. The point of this car is 1001bhp and it wil lbe the fastest accelerating car on the planet. This is car has a point unlike what you said. Anyway, you can't even see one, much less want to own one.
not a problem. Can always do 0-80, in dunno what..1.5s?Originally posted by gentlerock:Can't imagine this going over one of our road humps....its not gonna do 0-100 in 2.5 secs on our roads for sure.
It's acceleration is 2.6 sec from 0 to 100km/h. There's a rex in production at 800bhp that beats that timing by 0.1 sec. But at 400km/h top speed, it is probably the fastest car ever. 2 veyrons are coming into Singapore apparently, so you just might see them on our roads.Originally posted by philia:I am just telling you the supposedly attractive factors of Veyron. What makes you think Bugatti will be on the road when the Enzo is considered illegal by the LTA. It costs more than 1 million usd here. When it reaches, Singapore, Bugatti would cost about 5-6million sing (my presumption).Originally posted by Rexdriver:It's acceleration is 2.6 sec from 0 to 100km/h. with 4 turbos onboard? wouldn't they cover each other's turbo lag?Originally posted by Kuali Baba:I wodner what the turbo lag on that thing is like, if you can override the ECU.
And the Ariel Atom does 0-60 in 2.9s with a fraction of the power. What if we put the W18 in the back of an Atom?![]()

No clue. Ask Tommie Goh. Most of the time is the problem with emission standard. But I can't give you the definite explanation.Originally posted by Kr0n:0-100 in 2.6 seconds, but probably 0-get-caught-by-tp in 2.0 seconds flat. Heh. Or give it one more second and TP's new toys also cannot catch.
Philia: Any clue as to why LTA didn't allow the Enzo?
not anymore. officially it has 981 bhpOriginally posted by iamstreet15:isit true tis car has 1001 horsepower ?
