air ioniser... effective?

hi, think the ioniser thing is good for a strong and lasting scent..however, it's expensive to replace the aromatic oil they use..
i;ve done some goggling on this before..and apprently it WILL / MAY help to purifer the air by circulation..meaning..as the water spin..an air current will be formed and thus when air is pushed outta the purifier, outside air will be sucked in and ''purified'' by the liquid..
IMO, it may be useful to trap dusts..and thus ''purifies'' the air..but it may not be as useful to trap bacterias or other harmful elements within our car cabin..few days back..it was reported that our car cabins actually contains a very high percentage of harmful substances as compared to the air outside -
btw if u r keen on one...i've saw an offer in an departmental store in clementi, ''W*TSONS"...few days ago
$39 i think...for the ioniser plus a bottle of aromatic ointment -
will the water spill out if i corner too fast or jam brake or the road very bumpy?

think of it like a closed container -
If you put in on the dash in the middle, if jam brake the whole thing will topple and soak the aircon/radio/gear.

my instructor have one in his car,it makes the car fresh.he sticks it it the middle of the dash pot but i do E-brake and fast conering nothing happens leh

ozone is harmful.

Does it work on convertibles? Half the time I drive with the top off. I wonder if air fresheners work on convertibles.

bought one because the science seems sound...
the one i bought can be powered by 4 AA batts too.. so i tested it out by using it and putting it near the whiffy hamster cage.. after about 1/2 hour, there was a lack of smell (which kinda disturbed my hamster a bit
)
so it works.. i've since deployed it in the car

ther are several types.. smaller ones which can be gotten at about $25 to $30, or the big one which i got for $50 -

wad bout activated carbon? i use b4.. quite effective in removing odours.. but must change once every 2 mths..
