depends on how long you will keep the ride,Originally posted by sadistmy:
Hi everyone.
I am about to make a decision about getting my very first ride.
I am deciding between the "VIOS", "LATIO", "CITY" and "SUNNY".
Any comments on these models? About price, reliability and pros?
Also any final sound advice about should i make the buy,
or just stick to the public transport?![]()
any new cars bought sell after 2-3 yrs always incurr heavy losses due to high depreciation in the first 2-3yrs, unless he pay cash in full.Originally posted by PLC guy:depends on how long you will keep the ride,
If only 2~3 years, go ahead for vois, city, which made in thailand.
if 5~10 years, Latio or Sunny, sunny resell value quit low and if auto, be careful heavy FC, but reliabliity is gd.
i also wonder why so many ppls sell that cars less 2 years, if you stroll around 2nd car market, you will find almost all the cars less 2yrs, even you can see SFQ, SFR, SFS,... plateOriginally posted by alberteinstein:any new cars bought sell after 2-3 yrs always incurr heavy losses due to high depreciation in the first 2-3yrs, unless he pay cash in full.
I wonder how many % of these are people who can't service their 10yr loanOriginally posted by PLC guy:i also wonder why so many ppls sell that cars less 2 years, if you stroll around 2nd car market, you will find almost all the cars less 2yrs, even you can see SFQ, SFR, SFS,... plate![]()

jus dat reliability may be compromised.. sadly, this remains a half truth as we dun hear dat much problems coming from cars made in thailand like last time..Originally posted by seow:Why 2-3 yrs must buy made in thailand?

i haf change my mind on getting the honda city vtec due to it's pricing after discussing with my family. at 61k it's 9k more then the vios now..though the vtec is nice but vvti wont lose out much..(if u compare all their specs) the 9k difference could easily come up to 10k++ over the years with interest & if u take up a 10 yrs loan, u can save up to $80 mthly and in this world where every cent counts, $80 is quite an amount. nissan sunny is a safe choice with the only issue is it's FC(a concern with wif most pple i enquire from) however wif a light footing, u can still achieve ard 450-470km for a full tank..or maybe more i not sure..(never drive an nissan before) as for latio, no comments as i never consider this model at all. however the interior is pretty gd..probably the best out of the 4 names u listed. if budget is an issue & u're looking for something sporty, go for the vios..here are some of the prices:
honda city vtec manual: S$61k
nissan sunny ss manual: S$55k-S$57.5k
toyota vios manual: S$52k
gd luck bro...if u're interested in a vios maybe we can purchase together and ask for a better deal! hehe.![]()

hi bro, thanks for the advice..i haf seen the new FL vios on taiwan's website and this is how they looked like:Originally posted by nOrmalbOi:for vios.. just note that if u book at BM now.. u will be getting the favelift model.. not the current model body u see on the roads right now.. i suggest u check out how the facelift model looks before u decide... coz the facelift has rather opinion polarising kinda looks...
