Honda civic accident

  I read from the wanbao that there was this couple who just bought a new honda civic. 2 weeks old ony, SFZ plate. THe wife want to reverse, but cannot make it. So her husband want to take over. THe wife stood out, the hubby got in, while the door is still open. The car suddenly shot backward, go down slope and crash into the HDB pillars. The boot was in very bad shape. The front also kenna from the downslope.
  Heart pain man, car so new cannot drive liao.
  What could have happen? I suspect the following:
  1)the wife din pull handbrake when alighting.
  2)the gear was still in reverse.
  3)the hubby sit in, foot accidently stepped onto the pedal.
  AND BOOM!!!
  
  So bros here, please whenever you alight, remb to pull handbrake and put gear to neutral/park. I personally have stepped onto the pedal unintentionally. Luckily the gear was in neutral. The engine just rev until very high but car din move. I learnt my lesson. But for this couple, bad luck.

  He waiting for reverse sensor to beep.. Never beep ma, then the next thing he know the reverse sensor beep then langgah the wall liao.

  Hrmm but if u engage "R" ... the car will roll backwards slowly rite if u dun step on the brake... there should be enuff time for him to react rite?
  
  If he engage "D" den it should be rolling forward mah... how to roll down the slope like this....

  I think he step too much on the accelerator while in "R" gear. Maybe he never driven a auto car before? Cos manual u need to control the clutch and also the accelerator to reverse mah... so sometimes mite accidentally ram the engine to avoid the car to stalling...

  gto new paper got put the car plate number SFZ 2844K... thier first car.. the guy was 26...omg... wonder why they roll down the slope... at petir road blk 204...no one has ever done this stunt...

  i think is he accidentally stepped on the accelerator ... If not.. or maybe his leg one is playing with the brkes and one is with the accelerator? i dont know man.. but its a bad hit man... look at the car... oh man... insurance can claim?

  if i were him, i'll change car, any car except honda civic and black color coz it must be damn suay to hv such a freak accident on yr 2-week old car! he cud hv accidentally depressed the accey too hard?

  i believe his wife could haf been the one driving..attended to a similiar case abt 1 yr back..this mazda 6 was turning into the hdb when it went up the kerb bringing down a carpark sign & ran over the bushes..it was a couple in their mid-30s & when i approached the guy, he told me he was the driver..i then inspect the car, saw p-plate on & his wifey was still shivering; i decided to ask the passer-by and it was confirm that the wifey was the driver at the point of time. hence, asked the guy to tell the truth and he bo bian then admitted everything. the wife just passed for 2 weeks..omg..she could haf run down a few kids as it was ard 1300hrs, the timing where kids are out from sch. lucky no one was hurt.

  but if he scrap his car instead of reaparing it , it would cost a bomb..might as well scrap and change the car..but it would be a waste...
