Haha yup. Top Gear tried it in their 6th season, driving the Maclaren SLR from England to Norway was it? Jeremy mentioned the autobahn has no speed limits but still, the Germans have good cars and they trust their responsible drivers.

in singapore, more people buying cars, our roads so congested and so many traffic lights, makes no difference driving faster by 10km/h..
if u not comfortable with the speed limit, then the problem lies with you, not with authorities...
if you want to breach the speed limit, by all means, go ahead, no one has the right to stop you...the traffic police cannot stop you from speeding, they can only enforce and penalize, they have no right to stop you also, u have the right to speed
u can speed by all means, go ahead and don't get caught, but bear this in mind, u ought to know the consequences for exceeding speed limit
if u get caught, don't complain and accept your penalty graciously, don't blame government...

Personally, I feel western country people are more disciplined and follow rules/lines strictly, and this make a 10 to 20 km/h higher speed limit reasonable. I ever once traveled with a ang moh colleague on a very norrow two way road. the road is just barely enough for two cars to pass (much narrower than a two lanes road in Sigapore which probably can pass 3 cars) and my colleague drives at ~70km/h! the oncoming traffic was at similar speed, at begining it looked very scary becasue if the cars running at ~150km/h relative speed collid head on, the consequece could be much worse than that Mazada coupe we saw recently.

Hahaha.. but in autobahn, the drivers are very responsible one.. and also their lane dicipline very good.. from what i hear frm my neoghbours... they drove at the auto bahn.. when ever the german wanna cut or over take.. they will signal [horn or flash light] to cut you.. and they also follow sthg like overtae only at the left or right.. they dont like SG punks think drive Evo 8 very big F cut here cut there... they are very good drivers there..

But seriously it's not safe; you have tankers, coaches and heavy vehicles plying the highway, little in the way of protection apart from armco, and there are speed cameras.
