  as per above topic..only child/sole breadwinner, ageing parents..they will haf problems in the long run..anyone? pls dun flame me. just an suggestion to see if it's workable.

  If the family is gonna sue the driver .. then got legal cost also. And I heard the family is not very well off. In contrast Mama Huang became richer after her daughter died ('cos she has more donations and one less burden in her life)

  come on, like i mentioned; its out of ur own heart. why making it sounded as if i'm conning money out of the pple here? anyway, how many of u are willing? probably just an handful..if some organizations can touch ur heart to part wif ur $$ & actually only 1cent out of an dollar goes to the intended person; i really can't see why this can't work. dun quote my above statement..aren't arrowing at anyone in particular. anyway, if ur heart thinks it can be done, then okay lor. if can't also nvm. no obligations anyway.

  no leh .. I think the one with top secret info is aloof guy. He was the first to come out with the rough version of SpoonX's account. But this fella has disappeared.

  actually i support so_nice to make donation. Huangna and the gj cases are differrent in the way that the dependent(children) were victims and the independents(parents) should be able to survive. But in this case, the independent (Xueli) was the victim. Her parents(dependent on her income) will have difficulty finding livelihood in future. Let's not forget that Xueli changed from her formal job to sales because she want to provide more for her parents retirement.
  Many singaporeans are not insured enough, and i assume Xueli would be a typical singaporean to shoo away insurance advisors. Even if she did have a cover, with her income, how much can the sum assured be?
  To prevent the money from being misused, we can use the money gathered to purchase a deferred annuity to ensure that their retirement is secured. How abt that?

  bro, thanks for ur support. but it's a pity that not much pple would be keen on this idea hence i dun think we would be able to pool a very significiant amount. however, in this society every cent counts..pls pm me if u're keen. no obligations though. read the papers today? it speaks some volume for the incident isn't it?
