Besides what the others have said... I kinda have to agree with them... Trueno in SG is considered a relatively rare car... you want to pay under 10k for that car that's stock and accident free... I think anyone will laugh at you...Originally posted by yoshitei:Dear all, I am currently looking for a cheap four-wheel transport.
My criteria are as follows.
· Less then 3 years COE
· Under 10K
· In reasonably good condition
By the way, any idea where I can get a Corolla Trueno? I would prefer a Trueno without the Initial D modifications. Stock and major accident free if possible.
Actually have quite a few. Less than 3 years COE can means 6months leave also.Originally posted by so_nice:less then 3 yrs coe? r u refering to coe left 3 yrs or after renew left 3 yrs? either way its kinda of hard to get something under 10k.

porsche wins on value, but im not so sure it would win on rarity. Unless the porsche numbers less than 5 in sg, it wouldn't win on that count.Originally posted by yoshitei:Heng@...
I was comparing the AE86 Trueno and the 924 Porsche.
The Porsche should win in terms of value and rareness?
Considering the cost and avalibility of spares, a '70s Porsche would be harder to maintain as compared to an '80s Toyota?
I believe that a 924 Porsche can be considered a collector's item but the AE86 Trueno? I know that AutoBahn would take in 924s but AE86s?
Is the value of the car determined by the Japanese Anime Initial D?
It's not the face value when it comes to AE86s. It's more of the intrinsic value. Sure a porsche would have a higher face value, but what's the point of owning a porsche? Some people buy and keep their AE86s swee swee is because they remember when they first saw Initial D, their first step to the world of underground (mountain) racing and drifting, that's what makes the AE86 so valuable. Not value, rareness. Anyone can drive a porche.. But the AE86 has such a rich history.Originally posted by yoshitei:Heng@...

So you already have the source of information, did you find any car which is less than 10k? If not, I suggest you up your budget or forget about buying cars. If you do find cars within your budget, then those are the ones you are looking for.Originally posted by yoshitei:......Base on the advertisements posted on http://www.sgcarmart.com , it would be possible to consider cars like the FB3S RX7, SW20 MR2, S13 200SX, EG6 Civic with a 40K budget. Would anyone consider a AE86 Trueno for 40K?......
