Besides what the others have said... I kinda have to agree with them... Trueno in SG is considered a relatively rare car... you want to pay under 10k for that car that's stock and accident free... JY once told me that he's only willing to let go of his 86 if he manages to recoup what he paid for it, and more... and he definitely got if for much more than 10k...

last time in NS, a SSG drove a jeep, very old type, with a jurassic park sticker. He told me it cost 8k only. Can try out those kind of cars.

I guess the threadstarter doesn't know about parf values. If looking for a car which is 10K + Parf value, then much easier to find. -

lets see, thinking about how much the owner spent on his car to maintain and do up its looks, I doubt u're going to get it cheap. Its a rare car unfortunately, and that means it won't go for cheap.

and the value of the car is decided by how much the current owner spent on it. These are more than just cars. They're a passion and to them, its priceless, which is why I don't think u're too likely to find an owner letting it go for under 10K now, while we're still within 12 months of the release of the ID movie in sg. U wait another 2 years, maybe u can buy one for 8k. -

It's not the face value when it comes to AE86s. It's more of the intrinsic value. Sure a porsche would have a higher face value, but what's the point of owning a porsche? Some people buy and keep their AE86s swee swee is because they remember when they first saw Initial D, their first step to the world of underground (mountain) racing and drifting, that's what makes the AE86 so valuable. I give you simple comparison la. If you drive a 70s porsche down Orchard Road, people will probably ignore you or if they're mean, laugh at you for having the guts to drive a 35 year old car. If you drive an AE86, it will definately turn heads. People will stop and look at the car, if not the driver. -
So you already have the source of information, did you find any car which is less than 10k? If not, I suggest you up your budget or forget about buying cars.
