Singapore never had the non-turbo Celica ST18x series except for the Celica convertible. I have seen the actual car before, SBU XXX M and am pretty sure it is a GT Four. The rims this car has are the same as those on the Carloz Sainz Grp. A Rallye that was delivered to 150 Australian owners. The side trim and mirrors are the same type as well, except they are not colour coded.
A TTE-prepared Group A rally car of the era invariably came with OZ 5 spoke rims and had more aerodynamic side mirrors, as well as an air scoop on the roof of the car. If this car turned out to be really a pretender, it is a really good one, because the difference in a NA/FWD ST184 and a TC/AWD ST185 goes beyond just the bonnet - the bumper is different as well, as is the width of the car. The bonnet scoop is a very common aftermarket stick-on, but not the two vent blisters on each side near the windscreen.
