Which OPC is good for me to choose? Help!

Hi guys! I'm now considering of getting an OPC car since I hardly use it during weekdays. The problem is that I don't know which car to choose from? My Budget is less than 40k and so I have Vios, Sunny, Matrix in mind.. Any Ideas or comments?

vios is more FC friendly..dun get a matrix. if u need alittle more space, go for an sunny. if u just need a car from point a to b, power/space isn't ur concern, try out an kelisa or picanto..or our neighbour's wira.

kia having road show offers now..
with ur budget u can even get the magentis if u desire... lol
but i guess.. a wkend transport car.. maybe the picanto would be more than gd? -
i missed out on kia..can look at the new kia rio too..the HB looks decent

Prehaps you can list down some things you are looking for in a car. Example, hatchback or sedan, power vs fuel saving, spacious cabin and boot for family outings, comfort or stylish or sporty or luxury.

The new kia Rio is nice.. that time they having it at Suntec there.. quite some time ago, they showcase the new Rio.
Well since you are using it for weekend transport.. I agree with so_nice about the Vios. It's an all rounded good car.. FC, reasonable space, etcs. Of course, Vios also good for non-OPC cars la. hahaha -

I went to Borneo Motors to check out the 2006 v. of Vios.. Ok lah.. Just little bit of adjustment to its exterior.. But the earliest shipment will only be in Jan unlike Sunny, expected in Dec. I've kicked Matrix out of my list.. Haha.. Thanx guys!!

Picanto la.....Saw a picanto with OPC plates and its road tax was abt $50 a year if i am correct

Vios la. Vios is 1, 2, 4 and 5. Vios is not very spacious, but it it reasonable enough, more than what you can get for a 1.5. Good value, definately, pls. Nice appearance, this one is darned subjective, but just walk to any main road and stop one of the thousands of Vios-es going by and ask their driver if they think Vios is nice. sunny vs vios
1) Spacious - sunny

Japan car usually has lighter body, this give better FC and lesser safety as compare to Korea made.
IMHO, since you are getting OPC, go for the one you like and leave the FC as the last condition. -

i've tested getz 1.6M and vios 1.5M and i got myself a getz 1.6M
reasons,
1) more powerful
2) you be surprise that getz is quite spacious....except the boot lah cos it is a hatch back.
3) cheaper. forget about the resale value since the new car so cheap.
4) imho getz is much "chio" and fun to drive with.
as for fc, not really that bad. i get about 13km/l after 1k servicing.
think will getting better after chancing to sythetic oil.
btw i got a heavy right foot!

IMO, I don't think you are heavy footed to achieve 13km/L. You might be ahead of others in normal traffic, but a look at your spark plug will tell others whether you are heavy or not. I can stay ahead of normal traffic with my little ride and yet achieve 17+km/L FC. But when my friend see my spark plugs, he commented I am actually light footed.

getz would be a nice car if it comes wif electric wing mirros, air bags & ABS..i'm okay wif the air bag thingy cuz no one buys a car with the intention of crashing but the thought of i haf to manually adjust the wing mirrors really puts me off.
getz 1.6M more powerful then vios 1.5M? i think its subjective. stock to stock i believe both are the same. specs states that getz 1.6M is 9.6 sec for the century sprint while vios clocks 9.8 sec for its manual version. i dun think our butts can feel the diff & how many of us here can actually shift the gears so precise? but the price tag of getz is attractive though. -
Getz has very limited legroom for the second row passengers and when my son sits at the back, he complaint that its quite stiff for a long ride.. no affence to any getz owner yar..Originally posted by alf6901:have u ever consider getting a getz?
