Originally posted by sunnygal:So far, i've only checked with Tuff Clad on this. Their price i believe is on the high side ($300). Comes with 1 yr warranty. But the funni thing is that noise reduction is only btw 20-30%. Seems like a waste of good $$$ u guys think??
So no one here has done it before?![]()

Do check out what the Tuff guys used for soundproofing and where. Different parts of the car, different effect. If you are talking about road noise, changing a nice set of comfort tyres might be more practical.Originally posted by sunnygal:The noise of the road is getting to me these days.. hey agree with you, done my ice since my first car with them. thumb up with their service and quality.but dun expect cheap but reasonable price.maybe going down soon to do the sound proofing, quoted me about $550,any comment??Originally posted by Larry:U can go to Chuan Sing (Serangoon Garden Way). Not too sure about the charges, but heard its not very cheap. But quality-wise, its definitely thumbs-up, at least from my friend who had his car done by them.
Else, u can adopt these simple measures to reduce the road noise:
1) High profile tyres (which means smaller rims)
2) Tyres with less grip (grip and road noise don't really go hand-in-hand)
3) DIY Soundproof of your car (using foam like Acumat, Dynamat or Bitumen) on the flooring and doors
4) Spraying the wheel archs with 3M undercoat spray. Won't last long and u might need to touch up now and then.
Did they tell u what material are they using? Which are the parts they are going to do ur SP?Originally posted by alf08:hey agree with you, done my ice since my first car with them. thumb up with their service and quality.but dun expect cheap but reasonable price.maybe going down soon to do the sound proofing, quoted me about $550,any comment??
