even if u turn it off its never completely off like the esp on my merc when i turn it off and it slides it still corrects it for someweird reasonOriginally posted by tomsss:well i thought cars nowadays have switches to turn off their traction control systems... all they have to do is is press a button somewhere and voila.... the 350Z with its VDC, Porsche with its PSM.... but with Lexus's way to turn their traction control system off, that i must say its a little troublesome and weird.
well, unless there was a ghost pushing on my brake pedals while i was powersliding then i guess not haha. but yeah.. when i was sliding around i could literally see the brake pedal goin in and out while my foot was full down on the acceleratorOriginally posted by HENG@:in some cars the TC never goes off fully.
SEI are u sure the merc's ESP still intervenes when u switch it off? I've switched it off b4 and it doesn't correct slides on mine.
It went from neutral steer to oversteer monster.![]()
something like how the T-X controlled the cars to pursue John Connnor a la Terminator 3Originally posted by SEI:well, unless there was a ghost pushing on my brake pedals while i was powersliding then i guess not haha. but yeah.. when i was sliding around i could literally see the brake pedal goin in and out while my foot was full down on the accelerator
EDIT: well mine is an S-Class different models the esp isnt so intrusive for example an E-Class Or a C-Class
What???Originally posted by ceecookie:something like how the T-X controlled the cars to pursue John Connnor a la Terminator 3
mine's the last gen face-life E class. it swapped ends on me once when i floored it with TC off. its also supercharged so maybe that contributed to it some. But no, ESP did not interfere at all when the car swapped ends.Originally posted by SEI:well, unless there was a ghost pushing on my brake pedals while i was powersliding then i guess not haha. but yeah.. when i was sliding around i could literally see the brake pedal goin in and out while my foot was full down on the accelerator

funny. i managed to do burnouts with the ESP off. u sure its THAT nannying in the S-Class?Originally posted by SEI:yeah haha, but dont get me wrong the difference with tc on and off are massive but if the car thinks it might get tipped over or potentially crash into something it tries to save itself with the esp. it has saved my life once but it can be annoying not being able to turn it off when you are trying to do doughnuts or something like that
but the CLS is... well its a CLS.Originally posted by Kr0n:hmm...seems like the biggies at MB aren't keen at all on letting their drivers doing much driving? Hehe...Clarkson was having the same problem even on the CLS55 remember?
oh gosh. I didn't add supercharger.Originally posted by SEI:... u added a supercharger... ur tyres must be haha dead..
