Cheap Convertible

Hey people,
going to NZ to study next year... and well hoping to get a cheap convertible or atleast a car which is fun and i can enjoy that nice open road with. something like an mx-5 or an s2000.... are there any other suggestions? i'm hoping something around the mx-5s price... the s2000 is much more desirable but a bit pricey! -
2nd hand mx-5 lor. The s2000 has been voted in a Top Gear survey as the most reliable car.

You must remember what you're going to NZ for. I have a friend who studied in Oz and got himself a 2nd hand red mx5 for 14K. I thought it looked sucky. Frankly, if I had the moola, the s2000 will always be my no.1.

How much does an honda S2000 cost over there?
Have a story to share, someone i heard was studying abroad in australia and spent the whole of his college grant on a skyline just because he wanted to pose in it and drive it around, he ate cup noodles and stayed at home everyday cos he got no moola to go on outings. -

The r-33 gtt is the more popular 2nd hand model. Lowest price I came across for a 2nd hand r-33 gtt is AUD$17K. -
