My family member had been fined for tampering with parking coupon before...the truth is we did not. The auntie see wrongly i guess, but in the end lum lum suck thumb, have to pay for the fine.. if i'm not wrong have to pay 120 instead of the normal 30 buck..

Not worth it al all if you consider.
Two main ways of tampering: fold method and re-tab method.
Fold method is easy but is very visible. Re-tab method is more tedious but less visible. Either way, frequent reuse would lead to the coupon looking "old" and more inviting for the warder to take a second glance. Since both methods are lousy, why reuse? -

Actually if you can afford to purchase a car which is such a huge cost, then why gripe about the pennies? Before buying the car, owners should have anticipated and calculated the overall costs of maintaining the car before taking up the commitment. To be able to afford a $60k car, yet to pinch the 50 cents or a dollar for the coupon and risk getting caught and fined... haiz

The parking wardens will have to be present and will confiscate the tampered coupons as evidence for court. So, if you see wardens standing outside the car, jump in, start the engine, and eat the coupons immediately, and drive off.
The fine is not fixed, but you will have to haul yourself to court and the fine will be determined by the presiding judge. It will be several hundreds.
Don't do it. Come on, you can tamper in only one of two ways: either fold back or re-stick. What other tricks have the wardens not seen before?
