it doesn't. unless u tune it of course. in the wrong hands, can spell worse performance and even blow an engine.Originally posted by dazzler:guys i wanna know how does installing an ITC helps improve performance of a car?

I recommend installing a piggy back ECU.More functions.More value for money. Unichip is one of the best I've seen. If you're on budget, you can go for the Apexi SAFC.Originally posted by dazzler:guys i wanna know how does installing an ITC helps improve performance of a car?

this combo worked well in the days when there were little programmable systems available for most road going cars. it still works i suppose, but the downside is the ITC can only tune certain "bands" of rpm and not individual load/ throttle positions. ie, it will either advance or retard all the timing in that particular rpm range by a certain percentage. it may be good for full throttle operations at certain rpms, but kills ur engine by pre-detonation at part throttle loads. something easily overcome by doing a re-chip or some cheap management system.Originally posted by dazzler:my ride already fitted with SAFC2.was told that ITC works well with SAFC2 with proper tuning with dyno.i have a no of frenz using this combo too.yup getting a unichip or emanage is better but cant afford it leh.![]()
