Hello Senior members...need some advice for above model (AUTO)..
Thinking to get car before CNY, but not too sure which model best, in term of performance and cost.
Thinking to get Lancer CVT 1.6 model, any +/- comments, welcome.
What about Altis? in term of ride and comfortable?

sunny - i heard and friends confirm that tis quite a drinker i.e. high fuel consumption.. (ythough all auto cars generally have higher fc than manual but i had a friend who drives it and gets only about 10-11km/l)
lancer - cvt engine not good.. from forums heard that the engine will be screaming its head off if you rev too high.. (so i got the manual one
)
altis - vvti engine good.. but the car is too big and heard also from pple that the car do not have much power.. the vvti would be better in a vios..
y not consider vios? its quite popular. though rather common on the road.. haha check blind spot.. left mirror, right mirror and rear mirrors all vios..

Having driven both Sunny & Lancer,
Sunny = Higher FC
Looks ok
Quite comfortable driver and front passenger seat
Lancer= Noisy at high RPMs(anyway its not meant to be driven like an EVO)
Nice interior and comfortable leather seat
Looks more sporty and "young"
Better steering in my personal feel -

Driven both Sunny and Alts.
Sunny - Drinker but comfy and big enough for a family sedan Easy maintenance. All other aspects quite ordinary.
Altis - Cheap, big and comfy with good FC and big boot. However, worksmanship indeed quite poor, such as rubber linings along the door not fixed firmly and the lids of glove compartments tend to be loose. At least for the one I drove
But it is a practical family sedan for city driving, as can be testified by the number of Altis roaming along the roads of SG.
It may not be that advisable to get the Sunny as I think that it is going to be obselete soon. Lancer may be a good choice too but find it a bit cramped on the interior Altis a practical choice but that is about it. Practical and usually boring car

Lancer CVT 1.6 auto may be better than sunny in FC, but noise engine.
altis is only the choice, but it made in thai

Even think of Civic, but the $ is a bit too high for me. I am looking for something below 60K...Jap cars...
By the way, what's the comment for Latio sport model (except the $, which is a bit ex, 65K)? -

the engine dunoe y awaes rev quite high den change gear...
lancer is smaller den altis...but its interior is nice!
altis's control is much better den lancer, it has a bigger rm space but interior design is dull... -

I am looking at Lancer CVT auto from website...
Need someone expert to give some info for below;
1. What's the bigger difference within SOHC and DOHC?
2. Why this CVT model only 6-valve? really? thought that normally we see 16 or 24?

Actually the FC may not be a deciding factor
1) Sunny -> you can get 100% loan. No need pay any downpayment
Price is cheapest compared to Altis and Lancer
2) Altis -> best car of the 3. But monthly instalment cost you extra about $80/mth compared to Sunny.
3) Lancer -> price is middle, but you have to pay abt 10% instalment if i am not wrong. If its really 10%, you are paying upfront $5k+ compared to Nissan, zero downpayment. So meaning that you are paying $5k+ upfront for your FC already.
i personally feel that Lancer and Sunny is more cost saving car
Altis is the best among all,but slightly expensive. If you can afford, go for Altis. If you want the best value for $ car, think Sunny is good.

i-dsi if you want good FC, but average power only.......... price same as altis. -
One more thing, if you like to play ard with bodykits, exterior mod, etc. Maybe lancer is a better choice. The other 2 if you change bodykit still look a bit odd. No offence to anyone,. Cheers.

Out of the 3 cars, each has its advantage and disadvantage its a matter of how you look at it.
Its true cs3 sohc engines roar like a lion at high rpm, but I kinda like the sound now when the engine is smoothout. btw i drinving the MT
Altis, its quite spacious, even for the pple at thge back who wanna enter the car, will find that you would not need to bend too much to go in unless you are very tall.
Nissan EX, I would say its more like a typical saloon car. nothing much of it excites me. But the FC can be quite scary if you compare to the other 2 cars
Lancer FC at high rpm is quite heavy too. Normal drive 13km.. high rpm, 5-8km.
tested and proven by myself at 7k rpm on gear 3 which is like 110km/h lolz
Altis engines got the power for a 1.6 cat but hopefully it wun end up like the old models after sometimes, the engine start to lose the touch.
Nissan, the old ex has quite some power not too sure about the new super saloon.
Appearence = Lancer (More choices)
FC = altis
price = sunny

I called the SE, now Lancer auto cvt normal, $52488, add sport rim and leather seat, extra 300. Also can get loan rebate for $2000, provided you loan more than....i can't remember...
At the end, it cost 52488 + 300=52788. Minus the later 2000 rebate from loan, final cost around 50788...
Do your think i can ask more freebies from the SE? -

Sunny, you will cry when you need to keep topping up.
Lancer, manual is great, auto ...... can only drive softly, FC about ave of 12kph or less for auto.
Altis, Best deal so far from your list for an auto car. Not because it is good, ut because others isn't. -

Long long ago, nissan is very fuel economical. But since ard 6 years ago, itz drinking petrol. had a sunny vip back then, fc is ridiculously high.
altis from what i heard from my fren, quite economical. power wise better than the other two imo. coz i have a hard time keeping up with my altis fren on the road. Am driving a lancer auto.
For lancer, i find itz ok but another fren who considered it ended getting colt plus.said lancer no power. perhaps coz i dont drive hard so no diff. sat in colt plus. feels significant "power" than lancer. maybe coz mivec engine.
Both lancer and sunny, interior very old. from last models. over facelift outside. -
