i choose tires by thread design, then dry grip then $$....size also a a factor.
615 the price only up few $10 dollars only..Originally posted by tailslide:wah, like dat u see my tires now u sure puke. thread looks like blardy SUV tires man
alot of jdm bridgestone tires dun make it across the pond. simply too little market here for them and dealers are also concerned with costs of special one off indents for these tires. try the new RT 615 lah. looks like it'll have better wet grip over the ol RT 215's but handle juz as well in the dry due to the new compound. $$$ wise dunno liao lah.....
Who's gonna be looking at the tire patterns?? Don't think it can be seen when you're on the move right??Originally posted by bo liao:615 the price only up few $10 dollars only..
wet grip should be better..but the pattern lik no nice lea...
err, got such tires called "AD048" meh? tot the evos running on A046 or something?Originally posted by shicane:surprised you didnt the AD07s grip... did you make sure the tires are heated up proper?? .. jus wondering...
i have a set of the ad07s.. and when it starts getting warm... it sticks like no other tires i have had ...the sidewalls are nice and stiff as well... grip wise.. on dry days.. probably only the 615s can compare.. but wet... it sticks way better then the 615s..
if not.. u can try to get the EVO tires ... AD048... cheaper.. but definitely rubber that doesnt compromise...
if you wanna try something different.. what abt the PS2?? .. tad expensive.. but warm or cold.. they grip really well ... definitely on the higher end side...
Hmm.. also true...i never tried them after they heated up...only test drive a few round on it..no doubt on wet, AD 07 rocks..Originally posted by shicane:surprised you didnt the AD07s grip... did you make sure the tires are heated up proper?? .. jus wondering...

i have gone 100mph in the rain on the highways here and it wasnt any different so i'm pretty sure the advans would hold up well.... then again.. i'm AWD... so i wouldnt know abt rwd cars...Originally posted by tailslide:i didn't know elises' ran on A048s. one of the blardiest noisy tires i've ever heard...... until i put on my dunlop formula-Rs
sure they are gonna out grip the REs in the dry. these are semi-slicks mind u, compared to the REs which remain essentially street tires. but not so sure if ur statements holds in the wet though. ever went thru a small patch of water on the expressway @ 80 kmh on A048s. hairy i tell ya![]()
