use the lancia Stratos or the honda BEAT...notorious for oversteer....the older gen NSX type s-Zero too...4wd car drift...only car i think of doing it is the lancia delta S4....Originally posted by Kr0n:Any GT4 nutters here? I should think so right?
Hmm...trying to find out a suitable config to try out some drifts..anyone got a clue?![]()
change the brake balance to the rear too if u want the tail to kick out...1.5 not for drifting IMHO...2way LSD is better...for FR cars la...4WD i dunno...Originally posted by Kr0n:Hmm... Use variable LSD? or 1.5? And what about your suspension settings? How much harder are your fronts than at the back? And are your camber and toe angles set too?
Tried setting an AE86 to drift (not particularly because of Initial D, only because I just happened to be using it for a race and was lazy to change lol) and it was ridiculously difficult.
I prefer Gran Turismo....more realisticOriginally posted by lasboriquas:haiya...nfs:mw better la![]()
soon after the launch of PS3Originally posted by ToffeeClub1929:I prefer Gran Turismo....more realistic
anybody knows when the 5th series will be launched
Can't remember exactly, coz I left my PS2 in Oz, so I can't access it anymore. I do know the torque distribution was somewhere with 30% front. Super soft front tyres and medium at the back. Car only had 522bhp. Spring height all the way down, Rate all the way up. LSD is 1.5, gear ratio auto is at level 33. Brake bias max back, min front. Toe angle front was 3.5, back was 2.5. That's all I remembered. Different car needs different tunes to achieve the same effect because of the physics engine. Also how you configure the controller will affect the sensitivity of your throttle control. I use the x for gas, o for brakes. I tried tuning most of the FR cars and couldn't find any settings that suit me.Originally posted by Kr0n:Hmm..interesting. I've tried using FRs, RR and 4WDs before. 4WD was the Mine's Ultimate.. Dumped it on road tyres, fiddled with suspension settings a bit and let it go. That was one of the easier cars to drift. I hate it when I'm drifting and I spin out. The level of precision you need to have to complete the drfit is quite crazy! lol
Tofu: Hmm I recall this driving instructor of mine (not bbdc) asking his friend whether his S15 had a 1.5 or 2way, and then was happy to find out that it was 1.5. Then they took it drifting haha... But considering you'd need a lot of RWP, why would 2way be better?
Will try out the cars you recommend too...once I've gotten them lol.
Meanwhile, the cars I'm testing out with are the R34 (cheating, I know, but it's hard hahah), M3 and Yellow Bird..
ditzy: Mind sharing the exact settings you have for the 22b?![]()
well thats wad the drift king said....LOL 2 ways are better cos they provide better traction while accelerating and braking whereas for the 1.5 u only get 1/2 of the limited slip effect while braking...Originally posted by Kr0n:Tofu: Hmm I recall this driving instructor of mine (not bbdc) asking his friend whether his S15 had a 1.5 or 2way, and then was happy to find out that it was 1.5. control your throttle....Originally posted by Lance_han:oh yea..for the drifting part hor..anyone has any idea on how to tune a FR for drift? i see a particular style as in tat when i'm exiting the corner, either i lose too much grip and the rear wheels slide out too much, causing me to lose valuable speed or tat i oversteer too much liao and do a 90![]()
u mean trail mountain??? I prefer tsukuba for drifting....esp the 1st and last corners....Originally posted by ditzy:Can't remember exactly, coz I left my PS2 in Oz, so I can't access it anymore. The track I used most often for drift practice is the mountain one. There is a huge U just after the uphill. That is one place for you to practice throttle control. Remember, getting the back out is easy, getting it back in is difficult one.![]()
