not to offend u but here's 2 other good powerful car in the same boat is the Swift GTiOriginally posted by Ah Wei:http://forum.suzukiclubsingapore.com
This is the forum to go to. Current got one unit (red) March 04 for sale, asking for 50k, not too sure negotiable or not.
0-100km/h = 8.9sec
engine capacity: 1493 cc
horsepower - 109bhp
The car is still stable at 130km/h. Got pple hit 205km/h (max) before.
You'll learn more abt this car in the forum.
Forget to mention. The car is no longer in production thus consider collector's item already.![]()
not to discredit swift sports or yrv turbo, i'd love to have any of them. but golf gti is of a different 'boat' altogether, status wise & price alike.Originally posted by ceecookie:not to offend u but here's 2 other good powerful car in the same boat is the Swift GTi
YRV Turbo(currently at 54.4k....auto gear a put-off but still good anyway)
Power:127bhp
Torque:170n/m
Top Speed: 180km/h
0-100km/h: 8.4 secs
VW Golf GTi (POA)
Power: 200bhp
Torque: 280 n/m
Top Speed: 233km/h
0-100km/h: 6.9 secs
there's one downside tho...Originally posted by so_nice:dun put golf gti together..we are talking about different budgets. there's a huge gulf of diff between them.
imo, the ignis sports was the best bang for bucks car..at its last selling price of 60.9k, no car just come close to it. recaros, enkei white rims..unbeatable liao.
wei: i saw the ad liao..haha.![]()
thats the problem..they wanna haf the best of both worlds. make max profit out of it by lowering its OMV. so out go the HIDs & recaros. however the PIs are smart and they already start to take in orders for the full specs swift sports. 125bhp from the 1.6L VVT. i believe the local ones CM gonna bring in should haf lower horses compared to the JDM ones. just like the IS, 109bhp vs 115bhp(JDM).Originally posted by ceecookie:there's one downside tho...
local agent not selling it...if im right they might sell w/o the recaro and the hid light...u need to get from PI
follow ur heartOriginally posted by so_nice:frankly speaking, the lure of the IS is simply too strong for me to take..which is a reason why i was pretty cold towards swift & SS. though now i haf the means to buy 1, but ability wise still abit lacking..(not much savings) i was actually looking for slightly below 48k..(not nice to mention the price here la..) but no hurry la, i going to study my work patten 1st..my schedule wise can meet the OPC slot, might consider an OPC SS. hehe.
but my heart still sides wif the IS though. will contact the owner over the next few weeks to see how.

Well..... i guess you gonna drive the car for quite a while, thus guess its okie to buy the IS than the Vios, which you might regret later, since you like the IS a lot....... okie lar, u name a price, i sold u mine, hahaha..... (joking).Originally posted by so_nice:eh..ho say bo? hahaha...cannot la. "fellow ur heart" is something for the richman's sons or richman to say. at least for now(and the past 20 over yrs), i still dun haf the privilege to say tat.
but i'm ditching the idea of a vios already. cuz it makes not much diff in terms of mthly installment between a vios and my beloved IS. at most 50 bucks..haha. we'll see how la!![]()
