The COE you want to re-new would be the PQP (prevailing Quota Premium), i.e.moving average of the past 3 months COE. 5 years COE pay half.
If you re-new 5 years COE, after the 5 years, you would not be able to re-new any longer. Thus if you still want to keep the car or be able to sell it on the market, it would be advisable to re-new with the 10 years COE..... till u renew it for the second time, i.e. car is now registered for 30 years then it would be classified as an antique car already.....dats another story altogether....
Check onemotoring it has everything there.....
Hope this helps!!!!
Cheers!
