A little question about auxiliary police(cisco) riding bikes

Hi.
the story is like this
This afternoon, i got pulled over by one of those bikers. im driving my renault kangoo on the 2nd lane (i been doing that everyday since i got the van 1 yr ago) and one of those bikes went past me..
the guy signalled me (quite aggreesively) to go to the 3rd lane and i "obediently" went back to the 3rd lane.. once he went ahead some distance ahead of me, i switched back~ and he specially slow down and point me to go to the road shoulder~
i sort of tot he want me to go back to the 3rd lane again, so i just went back there~ then he signalled me more agreesively, and i just stop by the road shoulder and see what he want.
basically he say that i am not supposed to drive on the 2nd lane~ ( fact is i have been doing that since the very first day and no TP have ever stop me before) and i claimed ignorant cos i nv learn it in basic theory mah~ then he said that i am road hogging instead, i was thinking, wtf.. i am driving at least at 80km/hr. and that is road hogging? but i nv argue and just orh orh..
the funny thing is that before i met him, on the same afternoon, i met 3 TPs down the road and all of them just zoomed past me without saying anything.. -.-
Anyway im wondering what sort of powers do they hold? and what sort of agency they belong to? Are they allow to book people or issue summons etc?
break my 3 yrs++ record of nv been stopped before...

I think just a Cisco "officer" acting powerful and trying to intimidate you.
You should have taken down his/her's particulars.
As far as I know... Cisco not empowered to do traffic enforcement (other than parking infractions), but allowed to do traffic control. -

kangoo is relatively cheap and nice..
but there are also cheaper vans around.. just tat dun look so nice.. depending on ur budget~ -

The CISCO TP was not wrong.
Aren't commercial vehicles like vans and lorries supposed to travel on the 3rd slower lane???
I believe unless your license plate is private register, then you can be on the 2nd lane travelling 80-90Kph.
Perhaps you were only lucky all these while until now.... -
but still... a security officer has the power to flag down any vehicle on the road? that officer having a bad day or what... taking every oppotunity to disturb ppl to vent anger on them... sheesh.

Asked my TP friend. Yes, these officers do have the authority and stop you and book you if need be. Chances are, they may not as it involves a lot of paper work at their end.

Cisco is now no longer under government, thats the reason y their uniform is now changed to avoid similarity with the Police. U shd ask for his warrant card,he confirm dont have it, so no warrant card= ask him mind his own business cause cannot execuse police power. Cisco currently only taking care of the summon if i am not wrong.

CISCO cannot flag people down on the roads.Their area of responsibility only extends to traffic control and unless it inhibits crowd movement, then they might have a case to conduct traffic enforcement.
On a highway? No way.That's what I know so far.. -
The officer might be a tad rude, but he was not wrong to stop you. Vans are supposed to stick to the 3rd lane unless the car in front is road hogging. then that is when you use the 2nd lane to overtake.
But you cannot stay on the 2nd lane as if you own it - you must go back to 3rd lane once you have overtaken successfully. Before you think I am those drivers who hate vans jamming the middle lane, I drive a van myself currently. Signal, cut, overtake, signal, switch back. Why so guai? Cos booked before mah

I got stopped by them once, because I drove at 80+ km/h (not over limit).. Why? Because the bike what travelling on lane 1 (right lane) at the speed of less than 70km/h and I overtook him and he not happy.
I stopped and he say he can write a summon at the nearest NPC. I told him to go ahead and he asked for my driving licence and NRIC. I ask for him identity card to verify but he say he need not show to me. In the end, I say if he want to book me, he should show me his warrant or identity. If not, I will leave or call the police.
In the end, he say he will give me a 'warning' and take down my licence plate number and next time if he see me doing that again, he will book me. While he walked to the front of my car, I just don't bother me and drove off..
These people have attitudes and think they are powerful. Unlike Traffic Police, they do have better and great manners. Last time at road block, they say things like "Good Evening Sir, Where are you heading to?", "Thank you Sir, Have a Nice Day"...
Stupid CISCO. See the way they ride the bike.. No proper skills and style.. -

if van limit is 70, u driving at 80 means u are speeding already
if u overtaking a vehicle using the 2nd left lane but still drive below 70 then that's still ok
u very lucky that u met only cisco, TP will surely book u for speeding if u bump into them
