I posted a topic before but not much replies for what i was actually asking for. Haha. Nvm.
I'm quite a newbie so I've got a few questions (URGENT).
How do i know if a scratch is deep enough that cuts through the primer?
Can scratches be removed by polishing? I heard some can. And, what a swirl marks?
Thank you guys so much.
All info will be greatly appreciated!

light/normal scratches can be covered n touch up using touch-up paint(those marker like pens) then followed by a polish session. deep scratches got to spray that panel. swirl marks are from lousy polishing outfit that do a bad job wif poor buff equipment.

Light scratches and hairline scratches are able to be covered up by doing a polish job. Touching up with those marker pen is not recommended unless the area is not obvious. For those deep scrathes the area will be mended and the whole panel will be respray so as there will not be any differences in colour between the new and old coat of paint.

alot of ppl have mentioned that polish is good to remove those light scratch marks, just wondering, do you polish your car yourself or do you send it to the shops?
if you do it yourself any good polish product to recommend?

i tried to polish up the scratches. at the instance when i polished it up, some parts disappeared. BUT. After everything dried, within like 1 hour plus, everything was back as before already. Why like that?
