  i thought the logo of Mercedes-Benz is called the Silver Arrow?

  I do know that many locals call it a "Star" but... to me it looks like arrow? the 3 pointed thing inside looks like an arrowhead.

  the Silver Arrow is the nickname given to Mercedes Benz racing cars of the 50s. The reason for this is that back in the 50s every country had its own racing colours, such as green for the brits, red for italy, blue for france, white for japan and silver for germany. So all mercedes cars raced in silver paint.
  
  Ever since then, the nickname has stuck, and mercedes cars are informally known as silver arrows.
