Cost of maintaining a car in Singapore

Hi, for those with cars, i just want to find out roughly how much it cost to maintain a car every month. like for instance petrol, parking etc. thanks a lot.

maybe just share what i experience.. i drive a lancer manual using 95 petrol..
parking wise.. my hse one non-shelter so monthly dats already 65.. cash card parking and coupons for me i think will range btw 30-40.. i consider myself low in this case.. cos i try not to go park at exp parking places..
for petrol.. each time top up is full tannk.. ard 60-65. one month top up 2 times.. at most 3 times.. the norm i would think is abt 200..
if you dun want to wash the car yourself. .then that is also another area where your wallet can bleed.. also then depend on hw frequent you want to wash.. i wash myself.. save money and also can take better care in washing.. -

i own a honda city which i bought for around 62k with 30% downpayment and 7 yr loan. for that, i am paying 640 per mth for instalments.
then there is the season parking of 88 per mth. and of course petrol. honda city is quite fuel efficient - i can achieve on the average 15 to 16 km/l. my daily journey to work and back is 40km. usually only go out during weekends. for that, half a tank lasts me for about a wk. and with all these conditions, i pay around 1k for instalments, season parking, and petrol.
i havent added in maintenance, and road tax, which is 900+ per yr, and parking and erp. lucky thing i dont go into the CBD often, except for shopping trips to orchard during weekends. so they dont go into much.
hope this helps. bottom line is, look for fuel efficiency esp since petrol is ex now; down more upfront if possible so as to save on interest. -

yah.. agree with fuel efficiency of vehicle being impt also impt is driving habits.. if not even the best fuel saving car can;t get you far. mine is ard 14-15km/l to and fro work ard 42km.. so 1 full tank can last ard 2 weeks.. look out for erp and summons also.. sometimes these things can hit you unexpectedly.. -

season Parking $65 or $90 / mth
Petrol $1.5/Litre 1 litre 10 - 15 km, if 15km/l for 1000km ia about $100/mth
Insurance for 1.6l for age 30, 0 NCD about $1800/yr
Road tax $950 for 1.6l car
Inteerest 7 yr $50k loan - $10k, 10 yr $50k loan $16k.
A year $4k to $7 depand on milage,not include car price -
Your monthly costs is usually based on how much loan you took on your car.
The rest are basically:
>> petrol
>> season parking (home & office)
>> monthly savings for anual roadtax & insurance
>> car servicing every 7,000-10,000km (app. $200 or $400 for branded ones)
On the whole, you should expect a basic amount of $1,500 covering your loan, petrol, and parking. To be on the safe side, $2,000.
But it would be a lot lesser if you have bought the car in full cash payment. -

Excludes carpark and installment costs cuz there is none. which means even w/o carpark and installment costs its already $800+/ mth to maintain this car of mine.
