Is driving allowed if u forgot to bring your license?

  Just want to ask, let's say u lost of left your driving license at home, are we still allowed to drive on the road? Will we be charged if caught by a traffic policeman?
  
  What to say or do if we forgot to bring our driving license when we met a traffic policeman?

  they will ask for IC... den they radio their HQ and check..
  
  remind u to bring license out in future.. they will also record ur forgetfulness in their system..
  
  dunno wat will happen if u keep forgetting la..

  dunno if u guys come across road blocks where police hold a device up to ur mouth and ask u to say ur IC number..
  
  i believe its a lie detector.. it shows coinsistency of the vibrations produce by ur vocal cords.. I THINK IT IS la.. i dunno what is it...
  
  i was once asked to speak near it and the police waits for a signal from the device and says "u can go.."
  
  so i think if u don have IC with u.. say it there.. they can verify.. but its troublesome for them.. they may give u more trouble..

  i forgot to bring my driving license and my ic too. At the same time, the car i am driving is being rented from someone. A friend's friend for example. What will happen if i happen to be stopped by a traffic police? Any idea?

  There are three things they can do. One is to bring you back to the station. The other is to check your identication with the Ops HQ. The third is to ignore the whole situation.

  most will ask you to say out your ic number. Road blocks that do not includes TP is just normal police officers.

  it is an offence to drive without a license. Even u forgot to bring it, it is also considered as "without".
  
  u need your "xing shi zheng" also, which is no matter who's driving, this pass should be matched with the car. A valid driving license allow u to drive a car on the road. A valid "xing shi zheng" allows a speicfic car (every vehicle will be issued one pass after the car is sold) to be driven on the road. If u dun have one of this 2 when a TP ask for it, he can charge u.
  
  in singapore, the law is strict, but the officers are reasonable.
  
  in China, the officers love to catch drivers, cos if they hit thier quota, they get extra bonus at the end of the yr.
  
  in Cambodia, under most situations, a USD 5 dollar note is a one time driving licence.

  Har???What's That??????Never heard of 'xing shi zheng' in Singapore. Singapore got 'Road tax label' but really never heard of "Xing shi zheng"

  I was caught speeding once by TP and didnt have my licenses with me lor, he ask ask for my ic . Its ok not to have ur license with you, as long as you got ic can liao.

  There was a form called "Notification to produce driving license" within 24 hrs that police officers can issue you if you are found not to have license on the spot. Within 24 hrs, you must bring your form down to any NPP/NPC to verify. Think this formed might be abolished liao.
  
  Based on your IC no. they can tell if you have driving license, that's why I think the form is no longer used.
  
  As others have said, they radio back and check your IC or verbal IC usually is good enough. If its not under your name and you didn't bring any identification, they might do further checks but won't anyhow arrest or anything.
