Actually its not me who is getting the car but rather my father who is getting the car. He asked me to ask around for feedback for the car ...Originally posted by wbucket:The engine is too small to power a 4wd and thus will feel weak. Any reason for choosing a 4dw car?
Yeah ... i heard b4 that 10 plus years ago ... Daihatsu produced very good cars and it was a rage in the market then.Originally posted by DaKaR:Perodua is partially owned by Daihatsu...
Perodua Car are OEM from Daihatsu...
Perodua Kembara is equal to Daihatsu Terios in Australia Market...
As far as parts in concern, I see Daihatsu logo all over the Kembara...
Aircon is locally fitted, but parts are from Denso Japan...
Engine is the same one in YRV, Sirion and Toyota Passo...
the kembara is well recieved in malaysia.. and considering that kembara can survive in the malaysian market, and the distance that they cover everyday(start stop traffic and huge distance everyday), It can definately survive in Singapore...
So far my customers are getting between 12-13 km/l for both the auto n manual Kembara...
Hmmm ... okok ...Originally posted by LittleTiger:Older model of kembara has very bad FC and its well known in msia for the bad fc.
The newer version shall be better as its using new DVVT engine.
another 4wd suv for u to choose... New Daihatsu Terios 1.5LOriginally posted by szehao:Anybody has drove this car b4?

For cars below 1.6L, test drive must sit 4 ppl in the car.Originally posted by szehao:Actually its not me who is getting the car but rather my father who is getting the car. He asked me to ask around for feedback for the car ...
According to my dad who test drove the car over the wkend ... he says that there is plenty of power for the 1.3l engine even though i have plenty of doubts about that (maybe his expectations for an SUV is slightly different).
But is it true that because it is a 4wd, its engine power is fully transmitted to the car rather than a 1.3l engine on a normal front wheel drive car (like another sedan)?
