Hrmm.. got a good question to ask. Will the ERP camera sometimes misscue and din get your picture if you drive through without casecard?
About 10 days ago, I went through Orchard CBD. The cashcard was not inserted ...only halfway.. And I only realise it when i drive past the gantry. But up till now still no summon for me. Is it possible a malfunction with the camera? ANyone else got this encounter?? -
no fines then diam diam lah later sg garmen you know one heard their money making machine got poblem quickly send people down and repair then repair until so good that you zoom past without putting cash card can take picture of yr whole face.

i don't think they use camera now... i think they will just capture the signal from you IU and take pic of your number plate.
they dun really publicise how it works.... anyone know?
better yet? anybody reverse engineer the IU already so as to make the sensor think it has cashcard and deducted cash already? -
drumstick: when u pass through the ERP, ur IU got sound and red light? if got means u kanna liao... i kanna alot of times... hahas...

dunno if you watch the Taiwanese news on Ch 47...
their government got one screw up trying to implement the ERP system. haha
ask ppl to buy IU, then later tell them they are not using that system anymore. -

I mean if you pass by without the cashcard it will be captured, there is very little chance that the ERP one will malfunction -
I heard from my friend's dad who is in TP say that the gantry only capture your IU and it will know which car does it belongs it. From there, they will send the fine eventually. Another friend of mine received the fine only 1 month later due to technical gitch. So I doubt the gantry isn't working at the point of time which you've drove past.

sometimes your IU system malfunction (or your mistake)...what you do is you call them 1 - 2 days later and tell them that you have pass certain gantry at what time, you have your card in it but red light came on and realised that amt nt deducted...they may waive off.

u'll get a ticket within 14 days , no way u are going to ecape .
By the way ? First time offense ?
Find an excuse , say like forgotten Saturday got ERP operation la , card not enough cash la , slot the card late la .....
And send an appeal via e-mail thru' the LTA web-site .
And always say u're willing to pay the whatever charge of the ERP via check or cash .
I kana twice , twice appeal , twice at the end , the verdict is need only to pay the ERP charge , no administration charge incur . -

you will never be fast enough to siam those camera. those are high speed camera. try asking pple in HK, our system are the same as them. those mount on bridge one even u try 160km/h they will be able to get u and show u your plate no. plus your face. so how do u think u can siam ERP here??Originally posted by photo_seeker:There's a possibility. u take a look next time if u walk pass one in orchard or whereever, they have a radio-wave plate to pickup your IU no. plus deduct your cashcard do notice they have a camera after that which will blink red very quickly if there is anycar passing though it.
just like custom they also have the camera there too. when u stop inside the yellowbox or coming near it will blink too. cause it capture your no. and compare with database see if it lost car, fine many never pay, or JB car going back but diff font or design of the car(stolen car lah).
