Think for me I no choice leh, I work in KL you dont expect me drive back Sg to pump right?? I feel the fuel here okie leh, no much bad effect on my rideOriginally posted by spec:With that kind of crap octane ratings, it sure will not go into my petrol tank.
well, it is up to individual. for me, i get good FC from pumping petronas, much better than pumping esso8000. different engine reacts differently. nowadays newer car engine can take a minimum of up to RON 91, and there are facts and figures stating tt pumping too high RON will in fact cause more hurt than care for ur engine...Originally posted by spec:With that kind of crap octane ratings, it sure will not go into my petrol tank.
the increase is across malaysia, even sabah and sarawak. but the fact is tt most singaporean wun be so stupid to travel up further north to pump petrol, so i juz state JB state..Originally posted by ecac:JB petrol price increases by 20%?
JB or whole of msia?
if it's JB only obvious the gov or petrol co. wanna earn more from Singaporean
With malaysian "Skylines", Evo n WRX that are way faster than Singapore versions pumping those crap petrol with crap octane ratings... i am pretty sure it is good enough for your fuel tank...Originally posted by spec:With that kind of crap octane ratings, it sure will not go into my petrol tank.
I can safely assume that your car is Altis. No detonation whatsoever or you don't really know how to listen out for pinging. For those meagre savings, I rather no do it. Having more RON will not cause hurt for your engine. Where did you get these info from? It is the other way round.Originally posted by kentheman:well, it is up to individual. for me, i get good FC from pumping petronas, much better than pumping esso8000. different engine reacts differently. nowadays newer car engine can take a minimum of up to RON 91, and there are facts and figures stating tt pumping too high RON will in fact cause more hurt than care for ur engine...
for me, i also dun go in to pump every single day. juz as and when i'm free i'll go in...
Sorry. But most of these Skylines, Evo or WRXs, you can try asking in Malaysian forum, whether their cars love their own petrol. Truth of the matter is, the ignition timing all gets kicked back, making it "safer" to drive without blowing the engine. Therefore, I will not want to drive a performance car, performing only at 50% of it efficiency/performance. To walk the talk, I can even assure you, by conducting an experiment, with malaysian petrol and without, I can prove to you my ignition timing gets down by 3-4 points.Originally posted by DaKaR:With malaysian "Skylines", Evo n WRX that are way faster than Singapore versions pumping those crap petrol with crap octane ratings... i am pretty sure it is good enough for your fuel tank...
No much cheaper anymore. Remember you still have to pay the toll fees on both sides of the custom. Say going in with 3/4 of petrol how much more can you save?? 5-8 dollars??Originally posted by AE86tofu:aiyah still cheaper than SG ma
