ang mo kio dat 1 going on for very long liaoOriginally posted by Gordonator:from my observations, other than North Bridge Road the area near St Andrew's Cathedral where jaywalking is always an issue, the other place where jaywalking is getting out of hand is at the junction outside Ang Mo Kio MRT.
every morning and evening at the junction's traffic lights, before the green man flashes, not just 1 or 2 but legion of pedestrians will already walk to the middle of the road already in the mist of heavy traffic. really got to admire their bravary.
anyone care to share similiar experiences?

india the roads are for the cows. and you wont get killed when knocked over by a cow.Originally posted by drumstick:jay-walking....the most famous place would be ......... little india... I dun call that jaywalking but rather, they think they own the road...quite a few times e-brake there... always try to avoid the weekends
SINCE when are the signs 4.5 metres high? haha.. maybe jaywalkers are giants.Originally posted by Tayysj:I think the no jaywalking (pedestrains use crossing) signs in singapore are useless, pointless, waste of taxpayers money, and a waste of metal and materials. i prefer the signs in taiwan and japan. put on the fence in the middle of the road and put "NO JAYWALKING FINE $xxx" etc. singapore one 4.5m high up facing cars like every other sign. for car to see for what stupidity
why would it matter?? they arent even supposed to be here anyway not our fault... we should get a reward..Originally posted by Ponders:9) Illegal immigrant.
not surprising if u ever observed how ppl cross roads in china. one would have tot they were tanks from the way the cars stop for them.Originally posted by SnowFlag:I often see chinese national jaywalkers near my block...and they just dun look for the incoming vehicles who often has to brake hard to avoid hitting them.
