Hi all
Did u all realise that recently there were so many cleaner fuels promotion by local petrol retailers?
which one do u believe more?
Shell - Onli limited to Vpower
SPC- new formula
Caltex- 20 yrs of research and one tank can clean the whole tank
Exxonmobil- Also clean fuel
take a poll: who believe which one more? -
just another sales gimmick ... take it with a pinch of salt .... when 1 provider promote that their fuel is better and cleaner ... the other provider will retaliate .... now V-POWER got FMT .... what the heck is this FMT ... long time ago V-POWER already got something in it that makes it more power right ???

We need power...no point having cleaner engine but no improvement on power.
So go for V Power!

I heard from friends that caltex fuel techron is something which they did research for more than 20 yrs. wonder how true

vpower? As long fuel cleans yuor engine.. your aceleration will improve isn;t it? Moreover, onli vpower has it. for caltex, whether you pump 95 95 or platiunm.. all also have.. for EM... nothing much that they talk about... so i also confused.. every claims their fuel cleans.. then which one is better?

If Singaporean changes cars every 3 years why bother with the fuel that is injected into the engine??

Anyway, I heard V-power got some addictives in it that helps clean the engine, however got advice that don't use it all the time because too much addictives will damage the engine.

its true tat caltex techron provides a cleaner fuel, cos techron acts as some form of detergent n the industry cannot copy it as they have patent on it..
from wat i heard from other drivers, it seems tat caltex does provide cleaner fuel, but powerful wise not as good compared to shell (V power vs Platinum). However, maybe cos of the additive Shell put inside their fuel, they're more powerful but generate more carbon residue in the engine..
its kinda common sense to think this way..cleaner fuel, less powerful..dirtier fuel, more powerful..its up to u to choose.. -
hmm power.. if its acceleration somehow i find the spc's ulg 98 provides better acceleration than v-power.. =/ and its not like i went to test on purpose i was running so low on fuel i couldn't make it to a shell station. so i pumped spc's 98 instead. then on driving off the moment i step the accelerator like harder acceleration than normal..

For fuel just use the grade that is recommended for each carmake. Most cars can run efficiently on 95. -
y not just pump vp then go pump caltex at the same time... u get power and clean fuel...

but they say you're supposed to pump those "cleaning" fuels a few times to really clean the engine, before you can start feeling the effects ... -
in the singapore context we should treat our cars to premium petrol at least once a month.
