Hi Everyone......
I just bought a new Lexus IS250 and arriving on late June. I was actually looking for a Lexus forum in Singapore but to no avail. Wonder if anyone can help to provide me some info.

So does anyone here if there is any Lexus forum around? I tried sourcing but to no avail. In fact, i saw forums for other japanese cars. Anyway, anyone here test drive the car already? Any feedback.
I bidded for the number last fri - SGG999Z. I wonder $2500 is a sure win amt for the bidding...

I personally do like BMW.. but they sell their car like LAY-LONG... one monent they make you a exclusive customers next thing u know the car price drop... Anyway, fro a impartial point of view, both Lexus and BMW make gd cars BUT i really loathe the 3 series (rear) especially. -

Hmm maybe the closest is the 320iA (anyway it's the only BMW in the $140k - $150k range)? But at only 150 horses (55 less than IS250), 200Nm torque (52 less than IS250), 0-100 in 9.7secs (1.3 secs slower than IS250), having less gadgets, being a less quiet ride, etc. etc., I will say that the IS250 is a better buy anytime.
Meebee in terms of performance, the 325 will come closer to the IS250 (actually the 325iA will edge the IS250, at least for the performance specs on paper). But it's about $30k costlier as well.
So, good buy IS250!!

Ya, i was referring to the 320i... personally i think the main downside of the 320i is that it has a 4 cylinder engine compared to the V6 in the Lexus, and because of that it may trail behind in terms of smoothness etc. I'm not eally bothered by the performance figures as i don't think they make much of a difference in everyday driving. But now BMW has the inline-6 323i, dunno how that'll compare to the lexus. -

After my bf bought a 630 cab last year @ 315k, 2 months ago he decided to sell the car and realised that brand new 630 cab selling @ 280ish (6 months after he bought the car). Ive no idea how true that is cos I heard from other buyers. We kinda black list BMW cos performance likes to 'lay-long' their cars.
