Parallel Import VS sole distributor

  Is it true that ppl would rather buy their cars from a sole distributor? What risk if to buy from a parallel importer?

  not really true wad...some ppl buy cos of the aftersale support...wanna have a piece of mind....but if u wan BMWs...come 2 PML!!!!

  parallel import... u might have difficulty finding spare parts.. car servicing is not a problem because basic things only... such as the belt.. oil.. filter.. blah blah.. all these parts can easily be found.. but when engine problem arise... can the workshop 100% guarantee find the problem for u and fix it for u? even if they find the faulty part, can they find the spare part for u? maybe they can import it from japan or other country and fix it for u.. but will cost more and time..
  
  if ur spare part takes 3 mth to come and ur car cannot be driven for 3 mth bcoz of the faulty part.. den u lose alot of $ also.. imagine 1 mth installment is $1k.. 3mth.. u lose $3k++
  
  but get from parallel import.. u can get cheaper deals.. i think can save about $5-$10k..
  
  get from reputable PI companies if u want better after sale service if u are worried..
  
  my friend bought an rx8 from PI and got his bumper smashed.. mazda motor dont even wan to sell a bumper to him... in the end had to buy a whole new bodykit..
