Actually those driving @ 90km/h should give way to the cars rushing behind. The road sign put, " Keep left unless over taking". But sad to say, I find that alot of driver dun give way at all. If durng peak hour, it is understandable. But during off peak when its not really that pack, some can drive slowly on outer most lane @ 70!!!. What are those guys thinking.
One of the most common road sign on the way expressway is, " Keep left unless overtaking" but with some of the drivers who keep on sticking at the outer most right lane not budging, how are the cars behind gonna overtake. Overtake on the divider??
I was wondering, how many people really knows about this "keep left unless overtaking" thingy and really knows about the meaning. If people want to speed, juzz give way let them overtake and speed. Kenna caught speeding would be their problem. Although the sign says speed limit 90, we drivers do not have the authority to say who are speeding. Only TPs and LTA are the one who have the authority.
In conclusion, if you are not going faster then the vehicle behind you, give way and let the behind vehicle overtake. Dun have the mindcept of thinking that..."Hey, I am going at 90km/h already, why you behind speed so fast for what" Juzz move your car butt and give way.
well... if if ur theory is rite... den the rule for the lane is for wat???Originally posted by Ritz79:well my theory is as long as im faster than u, u better give way... if got ppl lagi faster than me, i will give way.

I will follow the "Keep left unless overtaking rule" as well as the speed limit of the road...
If the speed limit of the road is 90, and i'm already going at 90 at the rightmost lane, then I dont see the need to give way to the car behind me.... because the speed limit is 90 and if he overtakes me, he would have gone faster than 90... I dont want him/her to get caught by the TP.... so i wont give way
You can try telling this sentence to a tp.. see what happensOriginally posted by alwaysdisturbed:anyway there isn't a need for civilians to maintain the speed limit on the road...unless u r a tp...
anyway, there isn't a need for civilians to give way to behind faster vehicles on the road, unless the behind vehicle is a tpOriginally posted by alwaysdisturbed:anyway there isn't a need for civilians to maintain the speed limit on the road...unless u r a tp...

1) Keep left unless overtaking.Originally posted by Theatre Of Dreams:KEEP LEFT UNLESS OVERTAKING
it's so simple, direct, straight in your face.
isn't it simple to understand that, unless you're overtaking, stay away from this overtaking lane, WHATEVER SPEED you may be travelling in.
i will return to the left provided there aren't any cars which i tink i will overtake ahead...otherwise it wld b more dangerous to change lanes so many times....Originally posted by freakass:1) Keep left unless overtaking.
2) Do not exceed the speed limit of the road.
Both are traffic rules. Why must we follow 1) and ignore 2)? WHY WHY WHY?!
And for those guys who are so keen on keep the outer most right lane free for overtaking, you guys are just finding an excuse to speed. If the right lane is really free for overtaking, that means that after u overtake the car in front of you, you must return to the left lane again... but will u? Obviously NO! You will just speed on the rightmost lane... You are just complaining becos u love to speed and others dont.... what if the fastest u can go is 140 and the car behind u can go at 150, does it mean tht u're the road hogger on the rightmost lane in this case?
i don't get what you mean. did i mention ignoring rule 2 at all? good for you if you want to maintain at 90. i didn't suggest you going above it if you don't choose to, but rather, keep left once u're done with overtaking.Originally posted by freakass:1) Keep left unless overtaking.

actually i'll only stay on the right lane if there are cars slower than me on the middle(no car stay centre better cos if skid more space to manuaver) but then i wont go back in even if theres a faster car behind me. cos i wont speed and i willnot inconvenience myself so other pple can speed.Originally posted by Theatre Of Dreams:i don't get what you mean. did i mention ignoring rule 2 at all? good for you if you want to maintain at 90. i didn't suggest you going above it if you don't choose to, but rather, keep left once u're done with overtaking.
if your intention to stay on the right at 90 is to prevent those behind you from speeding like what you said earlier, then i have nth more to say other than MYOB you're not TP
and btw sorry for your poor assumption, i'll return to the 2nd lane after i'm done with overtaking, unless it's an entire line of them. if that's really the case then i'll speed on lane 1. it's not an excuse, it's that i choose to. if i know someone's coming faster than me from behind, then i'll pick up because this is an overtaking lane and i don't want to be a liability. of course when it comes to an extent when it's too fast to me, i'll back off to the 2nd lane. it's a matter of making a choice. this is what i do, up to you to believe. but even if you don't, you don't have the right to assume what i actually do.
In the end, it's the m'sian bus who get penalizedOriginally posted by mr sunray:These people better not drive at NS highway. Saw a news article quite a while ago. A MPV driven by a s'porean was being knocked on his backside by a m'sian bus. Why? He thought it was his grandfather road. Should we pity these kind of people? I think it serves them right.
