Performance parts. Really works ?

Hmm juz wondering that there're so many performance parts like CAI n water fuel magnet n all sorts. does it really works ? juz wondering
and what are those dat're really recommended to purchase to increase ur ride's performance ? -
fuel magnets are rubbish....all i can say is this...performance parts dun come cheap....apart frpm the Drop-in k&Ns....the rest are all BS...

Those fuel magnets and whatever weird crap are like those stuff sold at heartlands markets and shopping centres, those so-called magic mops, wonder food processors and miracle cleaning solution. It's all in the mind

The above mentioned rubbish will do nothing more than wasting your time and $$. Other "performance parts" do work, however they ususlly come with tradeoffs.
For example, changing to harder shocks and lowering your car do improve your handling somewat. But at the expense of comfort.
Choose your "performance parts" carefully. Cos some do give you -ve performance gains.. such as putting a 3" exhaust system on your 1000cc car. other than ego boosting sound effects.. your car is likely to be slower than a stock car! Of coz, most ppl will not notice that.. coz with that kinda sound effect.. you car "feels" really "fast and furious"!
Same goes for open pod air-intake that sucks in hot air under your bonnet.. whahahaa!! -

Wat's the difference between a drop in air filter and an open pod air filter? I dun really know....

drop-in air filter is the one which is just used 2 replace yr stock one....same as yr stock but much more free-flowing....fits into yr stock airbox of yr car...open pod is those cone shaped filter....even more free flowing cos have 2 remove airbox..but if not shielded properly can take in hot air and case yr car 2 lose powerOriginally posted by LH83:Wat's the difference between a drop in air filter and an open pod air filter? The gain in something will always result in the lost in others. You will never have the ideal set up.
