Hi all, I believe many of you have heard of the $20 entry fee if you enter Malaysia on 1st May onwards.
So let us Singapore drivers work hand in hand. Do not go into Malaysia from 1st May ( Monday ) till 7th May ( Sunday ). Unless you guys really need to go in maybe on official Trip or really necessary. I am already spreading news to my friends to join in and not to enter during those days. Therefore all the support from drivers are needed.
Why are we doing this? Simple. We would like to highlight to the MY garhmen that quite a number of us are unhappy about it. Therefore would like them to know how it feels like to have a big reduction in spending in JB for 7 days. Hope that MY garhmen may re-consider lowering the entry fee.
Our objective is hope that MY garhmen will consider lowering the price.Its not total abolishment of it but rather lowering down the price to maybe around $10. It is like reducing our alternative for a simple gateaway out of singapore.
Hope that all drivers can help to spread this message to all fellow drivers and work together. The drivers can be from any club, group, forums or just any drivers.Please do help to spread the message. Thanks
To participate in this is up to each individual decision. We will not force you or what so ever. But hopefully, all willl join this campaign. -

Actually, initially, it was suppose to be only for 1st May, but we would like more drivers to participate in this campaign for a longer duration. Why only 1 week? I have not and will never drive my car into Malaysia... ever.
The fee is one thing, safety is another. Malaysia is a very dangerous country especially for people who drive Singapore plate cars inside.

Be informed also that it's RM20, not $20.

#1 - The M'sian govt has not worked out the system to charge the 20 bux (cashcard? EZ link? A new magnetic strip card ssytem?)
#2 - The m'sian govt has yet to specify if its $20/day or per entry.
#3 - You think the m'sian govt care if SG don't come in?
#4 - How are they going to charge the Thailand tourists as there is no so-called "toll booth" at the thai border -

So far it has been made known to pay 20 ringgit in cash at the place where we are paying 2.60 ringgit. As for their e-card, it has not been known when they want to start using it.
