P Plates on Convertible Cars....

As above.... how do we put the rear P plate if the hood is open?? is it ok just to put at the front?? Anyone knows??

Most convertibles have a rollover bar, just tie the P plate there.

Well... you can try not to put provided you are very confident you drive like an experience driver, but don't blame me if you get caught without it.
Giving the reason "my car is a convertible thus I cannot stick the P plate" is not going to work. -

No. There shouldn't be a reason why you can't attach the P plate.
Penalty
Those who fail to display the 'Probation' plates as required will be fined S$120.00. Repeat offenders will have their licences revoked. -

Just don't display the plate. Seriously. Chances of getting caught is really slim. And if you do get caught, the 1st penalty is negligible.
After one warning you should then start driving with the roof up.
I'm only recommending this because you're an experienced driver. -
be careful of ferrari with p plate.... u cant see the back triangle.

i called up TP hotline...after lots and lots of tries...finally i got an operator to talk to me. i gave her the above scenario...and after few minutes of ponder...she said...i give you the direct number for operations. i dialled up the number...and a nice jovial guy pick up the phone. i tell him of my scenario....he ponders...and ponders...and ponders....and finally he said...why dont you call LTA. hahaha i was like WAT THE FCUK!!?? hahaha
and i called up LTA...and after few calls here and there...the lady who picked up my call....tell me... why dunt u call TP??..its their call. i was like..WTF again!!
