Jus checking out if anyone here drives without a license and wat is the consequences if u get caught by police the first time?

plus fines approx 1k and up -

on the road involves other people...not only himself....he wants to die his problem....dun implicate other people...somemore if langar people...no insurance coverage leh....the victim's medical fee who settle? -

I suspect that unlicensed drivers who cause accidents resulting in injury or death will definitely be punished with imprisonment.

I drove without license before because i left it at home.
On the serious side, driving without license in singapore is a double offence but usually only get 1 charge.
Driving without license is a criminal offence. So do ruin your life like this.
Why it is a double offence because driving without license automatically invalidates your car insurance therefore itself is an offence.
My advise is, although it is hard to get caught because you are rarely asked for your license. You shouldn't take the risk as consequences is not worth.
When i was working in HR dept, i was forced to reject this straight A uni grad because he got a criminal record... you guessed it... driving without license. -
There's no excuse for driving without a licence... not only will the unlicensed driver be charged in court, but the owner of the car will also get into trouble with the law for allowing the unlicensed person drive his car. For the owner of the car, it is tantamount to abetment of a criminal offence.

if driving without license is a criminal offence.
then the owner of the car allowed the car to be driven, that is abetment to a crime.
then in singpaore law, don't the "abettor" get the same punishment as the "abettee". -
just drive faster than the cops and you wont get caught.
